We Currently reside in NH and have never even been to PA yet. Hubby is taking a job in penn hills, and I'm looking for property on the internet and trying to learn everythingI can about the surrounding area. For instance, I saw a property in Westmoreland County , But they have not re-assessed since 1972!!! Yikes! I don't know if they'll re-assess a property if we happen to buy one, OR when they DO re-assess, the properties are going to be worth a HECK of alot more now. Will taxes double or worse?? Where we live now, we are re-assessed about every 10 years and I know how much the taxes go up then. From what I can tell, the place I'm looking at is right now evaluated for less than half the selling price. Can anybody help with information, please?

Thanks so much!
