Okay...Birdlady is totally wrong. The town of Beaver is NOT depressed...parts of Beaver County, maybe, but the town of Beaver is thriving and vital. The charming village is doing extremely well, and is full of the doctors and judges that it employs in the courthouse and Medical Center. Investment firms, law offices, not to mention all of the wonderful shops and restaurants in the downtown.
Beaver is a wonderful, family friendly town. It is extrodinarily safe, and there ar many affluent neighborhoods throughout.
It amazes me that people think Beaver is such a long way from Pittsburgh when it is only a 40 minute drive. It's a great town where everyone walks and bikes along the gorgeous riverfront.
