I believe Ben's official statement was something along the lines of there was sexual conduct, but no intercourse. He then also said that she fell and hit her head really hard, although there was no evidence of a head injury when she was examined at the hospital. There were, however, lacerations, bleeding, and bruising in the genital area. Ben has not offered an excuse for that yet, to my knowledge.

I heard, from a VERY reliable source, that he paid her 7 million dollars. Life-long confidentiality. You can believe me or not believe me...........the choice is yours. Ben doesn't like going to major clubs. Hole in the walls are more his speed. He's got a few players betting money to take him cold the heck out on the field this season, too....

In this world, nothing surprises me anymore. He very well could've done what Little Mizz is suggesting. Also, did he even know the girl's age when he bought her those drinks? She was underage to begin with.

It was my understanding that he didn't buy her any drinks. The girl and her friends met up with them and they had already been drinking. As a college student myself, let me say that the party does not always start at the club/bar. With that said, even if he buys drinks for everyone in the bar it falls on the people serving the drinks to make sure that people drinking are of age. The club knew the girl was underage already because they had confiscated her fake ID a few weeks before that. Like everyone has said it's a he said/she said deal. No one will probably ever know what REALLY happened that night except for Ben and maybe his accuser. Also, there would be no payoff because quite frankly that is illegal and something would have been said to the DA and then that would open up a big can of worms.

Not to go running off with conspiracy theories, but...

No charges against Roethlisberger hints at possible settlement with accuser - Mike Florio - NFL - Sporting News

You DO know that money TALKS, right? There are crooked DA's out here, living WELL off of "make this go away" type of money....

that was not an official statement, it was a second hand account of what someone (i forget who, they may not have even been named) said he said. if he really said that, it's pretty damning, but it's not certain that he did.

What I find it so hard to get past in all of this is her giving the "suspect's" weight as 241, which is Roethlisberger's official roster weight.

The DA said in his press conference that Ben was providing her with shots in the VIP room.
