Anyone seen this PBS documentary?

Is it worth plunking down $40 for the DVD and CD?

APPALACHIA: A History of Mountains and People

Apparently it dates from 2008, but is rerunning on PBS now. I am imagining images beautiful mountain scenery, heartrending stories, and great fiddle music. Which all sounds fine, but is it worth the cash? I hear E.O.Wilson narrate and Sissy Spacek co-narrate, which scores instant science geek and celebrity points.

What do you think? Perhaps I can access it online somewhere, but I have not seen a spot.

I'd check the availability at your local library. Even if they don't have it, they might be able to get it through inter-library loan for free or a small fee. That way you can decide if this is something you would watch over and over again.

If you wait long enough one of the PBS stations will probably air it again and you can tape it for free.

Or maybe you could do a internet search and find someone that has a copy for sale. I didn't see anything in that documentary that impressed me enough to want to buy a copy.

Thanks for the replies. It seems like I should be able to borrow a copy somewhere.
