That was probably the last one for the year, according to the long range forecast. I am buying my maters and peppers this week to put in the ground and planting cukes and zukes.... Beans, lettuce, taters, snow peas, spinach and herbs have all been in the ground for several weeks and are doing great.

When the gardening itch hits, you just gotta scratch it! Can't go wrong if you have a cold frame. Easy to build & I have been eating lettuce and spinach for a month now. Also essential for the long lost practice of "hardening off". Soil temperature is just as important as last frost date. Imagine those baby roots in the cold, cold ground. They are nice and warm and thriving in the cold frame. And the plants are growing, too. Won't put them in the garden until after Memorial Day and still keep the cover handy for less than 50 at night. Check your seed paks. They usually tell you "do not sow until night temps are...". Time to grow....
