Oh, and here is a little discussion on this report, including a likely, at least partial, explanation for our high homeownership rates (our older population), and a link to a Richard Florida piece questioning the desirability of high homeownership rates:

I think that is a complex topic, but I do think it isn't obvious high homeownership rates per se make a place family-friendly. Rather, if homes are relatively affordable, that gives families the option, and the extent to which the local populace uses that option doesn't necessarily tell you anything else of importance.
