A Census worker is not someone that homeowner/gun owner should perceive as a threat. The homeowner has made an assumption, erroneous, that this person presents a reason that he should be carrying a firearm; that demeanor alone is enough to constitute more of a threat to the Census worker than it would the homeowner.
The fact that you even consider the visit of a Census worker any type of threat speaks very loudly of nothing more than your own paranoia.
so sorry, answering the door with a firearm on you is not a crime, and therefore not a threat. not answering the questions posed by the census worker entails a $100 fine, lying to a census worker about their questions entails a $500 fine.
You do that to me, the outcome will be you being put up on Federal charges for assault.
if you come to my home as a stranger, I shall have a firearm on my person whether you like it or not.
ultimate law of each county is the sheriff, not the feds. dont believe me look it up.
also, if you show up as a census worker, I shall tell you as the last one that came to my home. get off my property as you are trespassing. called the sheriff and had him tell the census worker to get off the property or get arrested for trespassing.
You do the same. You point a gun at a Federal employee on the job, you are liable to be charged.
neither artic nor I said we would point a weapon at the census worker, we said we would have a firearm on our persons.
