"Nobody wants to see 300,000 teachers or fire and police laid off".

Ever notice they NEVER, EVER say Board of Education admin staff or any other Admin staff.

Online, cool I don't think they have that yet here. Frankly many of the older unemployed probably don't seem like they know how to use a computer anyway. And probably it would lead to many more people being officially unemployed as some are too proud to go there in person and face those unfriendly bureaucrats.

I've noticed. It's fear politics. The first to get cut are the necessary services. And it's coming out of every city and state government.

Why here in Austin..the budget shortfall is in the millions and they talk of cuts to education and police. And, in the same meeting, they then talked of a new bond package they want to propose to study mass transit
