Ronnie Gardner was a confessed murderer.

He chose death by a firing squad.

National: Death by firing squad highlights old execution method

My question is .... would liberals deny this man a cigarette because smoking, and second hand smoke, is dangerous?

It wouldn't surprise me.

Why do they wipe the arm with an alcohol swab before giving the lethal injection? Why a lethal injection filled with medication? Wouldn't an air filled syringe work just as well? Dead is dead.

It is about treating the prisoner with dignity and compassion when administering the death penalty.

Did the prep treat his victims with dignity and compassion as he killed them?

Of course not but do we want to lower ourselves to the behavior of sociopaths?

"excuse me, have to disinfect your arm before I inject you with poison to kill you. Have a nice day."

It is standard procedure when giving an injection. To deviate from standard procedure is to treat the prisoner as a lesser human being.

Assuming that your question is rhetorical...I just want to say...I ADMIRE the guy. I would have done the exact same thing - Forget this "lethal injection thing" give me a flippin' firing squad.

who hopefully will never have to make this decision.

He did try to have a stay of execution because of he said he was hibilitated sociopath that wanted to help kids They(his family) held a vigile whilst he was being shot, by the way we have 2 more to go by firing squad that the liberals had taken off the list in 2004. I wonder what another 25 years will hold.

Why are you guys talking about swabbing an arm?

The guy was shot to death by a firing squad.

Did he get a cigarette or were Dems too concerned about second hand smoke?
