You really are not getting it are you? Just because these scholarships are named things like Irish American Fund does NOT mean they are for whites only. It means that is the name of the foundation giving the scholarship.
I am still waiting for you to show me wording as used in the Gates scholarship in regards to one of the ones you posted in the link. It seems as though you are very good at bobbing and weaving but very poor in the way of backing up what you claim.
Sorry on this board when people announce that they are "Proud Patriots" it usually means just the opposite!!
I specifically mentioned that poor Whites are eligible for many scholarships aimed at underprivileged and under representative minority groups.
Black people don't deny these people access to education, it's other White's who look down on you due to your socio-economic status, your gripe is with then NOT with Black People.
Why should anyone cry. The scholarship should go to who is the most in need, should it not? It should not be based on race at all but solely on NEED!

No what we got was you CLAIMING they are whites only scholarships I have yet to see you produce the actually wording from these scholarship application forms that says it is WHITE only.
Very few are not based on need (except when the government is involved).
I had a few when I was in school (a long while ago).
Did I need them. Not one bit.

Well of course the person has to actually be doing well in school, it would not make much sense to give a scholarship to someone that was failing out. Right?
You should not have applied for them if you did not need them.

You are correct but the issue is that there ARE Jewish Black people so they do have a chance with Gates there is ZERO chance of a white getting it. Race should never be an issue for getting help with school.
Scholarships exist for women, single mothers, Native Americans, Hispanics, gays, gays-of-color, the disabled, adoptees.......little people, tall people, left handed people......people with a specific last name (e.g. Zolp and Scarpinato)............skateboarders, billiard players, golf caddies, bowlers......almost any special interest group there is. Duck Brand duct tape offers a scholarship to a couple who attend a high school prom in outfits made solely from duct tape.
What is the BFD about scholarships for blacks only.....or Asians only....or whites only?
Organizations are free to single out any group they want to help further their education. I think it is laudable that individuals, groups, organizations, businesses and charitable foundations give money to the worthy cause of helping someone further their education.
These "whitey only" scholarships (from that list) ONLY ask for you to be either Jewish (not a white-Jew), or from Polish decent (not a white Pole) or have an ancestor who grew up in Italy (not a white Italian).
Only white people were born in/raised in Poland, Italy or are Jewish?
