The United Church of Christ is known to be liberal on their views on abortion, homosexuality, including same-sex marriage, black liberation etc. They "equally celebrate the image of a male and female God."
Even Obama's home paper, the very democratic The Chicago Sun Times calls his church, "one of the most liberal in the country."
Again, I encourage you to read up on this church and then we can debate. I wil share with you they are far from a traditional Christian Church. In essence they do not follow the Bible. They are not a New Testament Church. In my mind if they want to call themselves a church, under whatever non-profit status that gives them fine. But they are not Biblical following Christ's teaching. Christ does not teach hate or pitting race vs race as exemplified in Jeremiah Wright.
I know all about the UCC thanks, and am happy to debate you about it any time. particularly your contention that it's "not a New Testament church." Is that the trendy self-ID for self-centered, non-Christ-centered, exclusionary churches these days... the Glenn Beck "churches"?
Meanwhile, "again, I encourage you to read up" on Reverend Wright's sermons -- read the sermons, that is -- or listen to them in full, so that you dont continue looking (silly) by opining about something you clearly know nothing about.
According to the definition of the term I would have to say yes.
Anyone that would attend Rev. Wright's church for as many years as he did certainly would qualify. By attending Wright's (so called) church he was, intentionally or not agreeing to this bigots ideology.
If any white preacher said the same things about any other race they would be considered a racist bigot and there is no way a white presidential candidate could win office if he had been a member of such a racist church.
Rev. Wright said "God damn America" = racism. Because America = White, therefore damning America = damning White people.

Then come on back.
Glen Beck has a church? Lol.
You seem angry. Maybe it's best we don't interact as I don't want to upset you and it seems we are at a crossroad.
with most of them being white christian conservatives
I can tell you haven't spent too much time or lived around blacks then.
