Could be man or a woman, but in this case, since she's still alive, and her husband is dead at her hands, should in case she's still fertile, be sterilized, because clearly she's incapable of making intelligent decisions/has incredibly poor judgment. Should those genese be passed on, given violence has resulted numerous times from her decisions?

In short, won't it save lives to prevent people like this from breeding?

You know that our legal system thrives on technicalities. Once you decide to sterilize people based on poor judgment, the question of how and where poor judgment is applied will have to be resolved. Suppose you have a history of betting on the wrong team in the Super Bowl and you lose barrels of money every January. It could easily be the case that society does not need future generations of financially irresponsible citizens...so is that the kind of poor judgment that merits sterilization?

Define "poor judgment" with narrow enough parameters, and there's no telling where it ends.

Poor judgment that has life/death consequences. Sports are not life and death. Picking murderers, or people in rehab probably are not wise decisions.
