There is no reason to push for or support an unenforcable law unless you are a complete and utter moron. So that is how I view these folks and anyone who doesn't care if it's on the books or not.
where do you figure to paint with such a broad brush as to label 'conservatives"
florida laws:
Unmarried couples may not commit “lewd acts” and live together in the same residence
When having sex, only the missionary position is legal.
Oral sex is illegal
North Carolina laws:
While having sex, you must stay in the missionary position and have the shades pulled.
If a man and a woman who aren’t married go to a hotel/motel and register themselves as married then, according to state law, they are legally married.
Oral sex is considered a crime against nature.
Massachusets laws:
A woman can not be on top in sexual activities.
connecticut laws:
Hartford city law: It is illegal for a man to kiss his wife on Sunday
Pennsylvania laws:
It is illegal to have over 16 women live in a house together because that constitutes a brothel.
West virginia:
Unmarried couple who live together and “lewdly associate” with one another may face up to a year in prison.
It is legal for a male to have sex with an animal as long as it does not exceed 40 lbs.
It is legal to beat your wife so long as it is done in public on Sunday, on the courthouse steps
Virginia:
If one is not married, it is illegal for him to have sexual relations.
You may not have oral or anal sex.
Maryland:
Oral sex can not be given or received anywhere
New Jersey:
Lovers in Liberty Corner, New Jersey, should avoid satisfying their lustful urges in a parked car. If the horn accidentally sounds while they are frolicking behind the wheel, the couple can face a jail term.
Rhode Island laws:
The 1896 law, entitled "abominable and detestable crime against nature," calls for a prison sentence of at least 7 years -- and, potentially, up to 20 years -- for those found guilty of engaging in fellatio, cunnilingus or anal sex. ..........makes it illegal for consenting adults -- including husbands and wives -- to engage in anal and oral sex.
Massachusetts:
"Sondomy" and "buggery" are illegal
California:
“molesting” butterflies results in a $500 fine, while setting a mousetrap without a hunting license is also illegal
Washington D.C.:
consider people who give or receive oral sex to be criminals. ............where oh where does that put politicians
Nevada:
considers sex without the use of a condom to be illegal
In Texas:
the use or ownership of more than six dildos may qualify you for a felony.
Difference: Those laws - most of which were pragmatic upon their implementation - were written decades and even centuries ago. They are carry-overs, so to speak.
To write one up in 2010 without rationality? No, that's embarrassing.
As a note, the California law regarding butterflies has nothing to do with a sexual act. The word "mollestation" isn't as one-dimensional as you seem to believe. lol

actually to molest means to touch, or fondle, or mame....I never said anything about sex
and as far as the laws...yes many if not most were writen a century ago
and we SHOULD be enforcing some of these laws NOW, at least in reflection to 'in public'
Why can't conservatives stay out of the Business of the bedroom? What a waste of Tax payer $$$$.
Wow, remind me never to vacation in Texas.
