Whoa, everybody! We already have a Europe--it is over in Europe. And we have an America--right here. We do not need two Europes! People have differences of opinion, and there are airplanes waiting at the nearest airport to take you to Europe if that is what you want.

Over the long term, European economies as a whole and member nations grow slower, have less employment and lower standards of living than America. I'm just saying, when it comes to economic growth, employment, and standards of living, I believe that more is better than less.

I ride a bike 3-4 times a week and I've lived to see tomorrow.

It's so straight forward, isn't it? Why so many people can't seem to grasp it?
The whole purpose of America is to be an alternative to Europe.

About 20% of the budget is for the military. It's not a huge amount like some think it is.

If boredom equals happiness for you then you'll be fine in Finland .
I personally have nothing against Finland though.
I've lived in New Zealand for a few years but I'm much happier in America.
I'd be much happier if the southern border was secured though.
Nobody ever complains? SOUNDS LIKE HEAVEN!!!

And today the European stock markets are getting crushed because of massive strikes in France and Germany. This is a protest of attempts to roll back the welfare state (i.e., get a little more American).

Thatcher said, "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money."

Again, I consider myself too young to go to heaven. That's not my call though.

It is so obvious what a mess the EU has become, yet many still want to be more like it.

Look at the price of things in Europe, my Mom bought me a gift in Germany and the price was about 2x what it would cost here in the US.

Now, better yet, countries like Belgium have a 50% income tax rate, thats right, you work your ass off and the Government takes half of what you earn. I think we should be more like Europe!

"My mom bought me something in Germany and it cost more" That's some brilliant reasoning.

I've spent a lot of time in Europe, and you know what they have that we don't? Educated people, healthy people (they live longer than us), incredible cultural treasures (well, we can't really gain history), minuscule crime rates and far lower rates of incarceration.

America is great, but there are certainly a lot of things about Europe that are wonderful. I don't believe we should follow their taxation methods, but they've become far more socially liberal than we have in the past couple decades and that's where I think we need to be more like them.

Oh yeah, and on my last paycheck Uncle Sam took 35% of what I took in.

How old are you? 4? Seriously grow up and learn about these countries and what they do better and worse than us, rather than post some childish rant.
