I agree with you.

I'm a Christian & I was also taught that the day is unknown and no one should try to project when it will happen.

Remember how a lot of people use to say he would return in the year 2000 & the world will end?

Lately I've been hearing many people saying he's going to return in 2012.

All of these figures are wrong & it's nothing but evil views trying to make everyone live in fear.

All I can say is that everyone should just pray & never try to figure the date or you'll find yourselves living in fear for the rest of your life.

Agreed with the bold.

However, if you have been joined to Christ - you are always His. The question is were you really of Christ? But that's for another forum.

There are a good number of scientists that are Christian/Theist - they're rarely, if ever, however Fundamentalists who believe in a literal reading of the book of Genesis.

Naturally, they tend not to do much overwhelming work in the area of: DNA, Biological Anthropology, Astrophysics, Physics, etc.

American society functions on beliefs, not on knowledge. Logic and reason are the enemies.

Again, I am sure this research is impecable (Lol) and the sample was large and unbiased. ha ha. Only 19% huh?

I would love to see how they conducted this!

I would also love to see the % of non high school graduates who voted for Obama. Now THAT would be of interest.

Nope, just found the relation between education level and this particular religious belief to be very interesting. Perhaps you didn't catch it the first time:

The poll, which had a 3 percent margin of error, found 59 percent of respondents with no college experience believed Jesus is coming, while 35 percent with some college experience and 19 percent of college graduates agreed with the same statement.

Poll: 41 percent expect Jesus by 2050 - UPI.com
