At that rate he'll add seven trillion to the national debt by the end of his first term.

Anyone else see a problem here?

United States public debt - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The national debt is so high because it is

"[t]he Total National Debt is the Public Debt [defined here] plus the Intragovernmental Holdings. Intragovernmental Holdings are Government Account Series securities held by Government trust funds, revolving funds, and special funds; and Federal Financing Bank securities. A small amount of marketable securities are held by government accounts."

The Obama Debt Monitor*|*Tracking the US National Debt through the Obama Administration (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012)

and DONT FORGET INTEREST!

So -- to use the passive voice -- how much has been added to the national debt since Obama took office? (using PV because NOT all this money is the costs of his policies or his projects.)

Obama's National Debt Impact

Upon Inauguration: $10,626,877,048,913
As of Jun 22, 2010: $13,046,652,647,592

Increased by: $2,419,775,598,679

The Obama Debt Monitor*|*Tracking the US National Debt through the Obama Administration (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012)

Another source is the Washington Times: "At $13 trillion, that figure has risen by $2.4 trillion in about 500 days since President Obama took office, or an average of $4.9 billion a day. That's almost three times the daily average of $1.7 billion under the previous administration, and led Republicans on Wednesday to place blame squarely at the feet of Mr. Obama and his fellow Democrats."

So -- $2.4T. Obama has NOT added $13T to the deficit. But the RW media will try to persuade you that it's all from him. (They'll also tell you that he's running around throwing away your grandchildren's money like a drunken sailor, etc. -- also not true but a different topic.)

Okay, just like John 3:16, you've seen it and now you know the truth, you cant say otherwise.

So dont believe the lies.

I think this chart is the unambigious truth in debt spending (from wikipedia)... Bush was president from 2001-2009 so it started at about 7 Trillion in debt and went up to a little under 10 trillion... so Bush increased the debt by about 3 Trillion over EIGHT YEARS... Obama took over in 2009 and increased the debt by about 3 Trillion in ONE YEAR... Obama is starting to look like a big spender... considering he outspent Bush and I think that is what the Republicans are driving at... and really, if you multipled 3 Trillion per year times 4 years, that's about 12 Trillion dollars (which isn't really far off if Obama continues his thirst for spending)... Congress is really the ONLY reason that Obama hasn't spent more, cause if it was up to Obama, he'll open your piggy bank to other nations already...

Nope.
THEY fully intend to max out every card they have, before they seek to "ask"..... We..the People, for a loan, a bailout and our undying LOVE!

And all these Lefties can really say is....."Well, if it was OK for Bush to spend like a drunken sailor.....WE should be able to spend even more..... and on much better thangs!"

Don't you just love their way of thinking?

I think they have been getting economic advice from the great nation of Greece.

I mean.....since the ends justify the means to them....I suppose it will be A-OK with them, if we inject another TRILLION or so, for "real" economic recovery to become a tad more noticable.
It might even bring the unemployment numbers down to a rosy 9% and everyone will surely, rejoice.

And...for just a FEW TRILLION MORE......miracles are guaranteed and we will finally be back down to around 7% unemployment!
PROGRESS takes MONEY....LOTS OF IT!

You need to take a math lesson... presidents only serve 4 years per term... you have Bush at 9 years... and by YOUR own website it lists the National Debt at 10.6 Trillion on 1/20/2009... apparently you need a reading lesson too... as I remember it.. Obama won the presidency when debt was a little under 10 Trillion... Obama gave the OKAY to Bush (otherwise Bush would not) to spend the extra money towards bailouts and stuff (I count that as an Obama objective) and so he will bear that cost...

Whats the budget for the biggest welfare tit this country has, the military, 800 billion to 1 trillion dollars in 2010. That number won't get any lower since the republicans will be pissing in their pants and wetting their beds everynight. I just saw a thread on here about lowering the budget for military and the **** pants republicans and conservatives were wettiing their beds, ohh me ohh my that money has to be spent.

Here's an example, DON'T LOWER TAXES DURING TWO WARS AND NOT EXPECT TO RUN A DEFICIT. IF YOU START WARS YOU MUST PAY FOR THEM. IT'S SIMPLE, REALLY IT IS, IF YOU LOWER YOUR INCOME YOU CAN'T BUY THE BIG HOUSE, OHH WAIT WE DID IT MORE ASS BACKWARDS, WE BOUGHT TWO HOUSES THAT WE COULDN'T AFFORD AND THEN WE VOLUNTARILY LOWERED OUR INCOME SO NOW WE RUN DEFICITS. NO $H!T.

CAN WE RAISE FUNDS FOR THE WARS THAT WE STARTED WITH NO MONEY? NO, WE MUST CUT HEALTHCARE TO OUR CITIZENS OVER 65. WE MUST GIVE MORE TAX BREAKS TO CORPORATIONS THAT MAKE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS EACH YEAR, NOT TAX CREDITS TO THE POOR.

Obama is a douche ,he has proved that by keeping Bush's legacy alive, with the military budget( He is scared of republicans for some reason), Bush is the Douche Bag that initiated this bull$h!t.
