The anti semite slur is weak tactic used to intimidate people into shutting up, it don't work on me though. Israel hasn't won a war since then either. They were kicked out of Lebanon by Hezbollah, and then lost the war against them in 2006. The myth of unbeatable IDF soldier is over, their tanks were into death ovens in Southern Lebanon, their soldiers lost just about every battle, one of their ships was nearly sunk, all this done by a militia wth just 4000 active fighters! Almost all military experts agree that the IDF had its arse kicked by Hezzie in 2006, even the American military guys!

I'm not alone in that conclusion either. One of the top US commanders in GW I called the IDF "a bunch of arrogant pricks who wouldn't last ten minutes on a European battlefield." Well, that bit about a "European battlefield" is another sad case of our NATO obsession, but the point is, the IDF doesn't deserve its rep.

You should be proud of the anti-semite label. Anti-semite just means someone who doesn't lick Israeli boots clean.

I think its a good thing. Sure not all are "cut out" to be in the military, but I wouldnt be against people having to serve for a couple years here. Itd do a lot of young adults today some good thats for sure. And when you're a country like Israel, small and surrounded by ENEMIES who want to kill you, its probably a good idea to instill some toughness and training into all your citizens.

I've been to Israel. I had a great time and they were great people. Is any country full of the most "perfect" people? Of course not. But you and the others notion that Israel is the bad guy and the terrorists are the good guys is flat out wrong. And while we are all against civilian deaths, Israel doesnt target them, no matter what CNN and the rest of the media would like you to believe. Israel doesnt teach kids at a young age, using cartoon characters and terrorists in Mouse outfits, that they should kill these people or strap bombs to themselves.
But I guess the targeted attacks on kids, promotion of suicide bombers, etc, etc, etc just goes right over your head doesnt it. You can sit here and spew as many lies and hate as you want, but it doesnt make it true no matter how many times you say it.

There are very few innocent Israelis either, because they have compulsory military service there, so when Israel is attacked it is usually a soldier or reserve getting killed.
America has been seriously vying with Israel for most hated country, especially since March of 2003.

Advantage: U.S.

However, the recent piracy and murder in the Mediterranean has once again reminded the world of Israel's current brutality, so I'd say it currently remains a very close race.

As to your original point: As a mainstream media journalist there are two sacred cows: The U.S. military and Israel.

Criticism of either, or any respect for their sworn enemies, means, as a journalist in the mainstream media, you will be banished and blacklisted. This is further proof.

No crime has been committed because way back you used to serve as a Doctor in the military. Do you hear yourself? Do you hear how unintelligent you sound? What is your source of information on this issue, your Jew hating Grandpa? Your "facts" have nothing to do with reality. Jordan has killed more Palestinians than Israel. Jordan. Where is your outrage at Jordan?
No, a sympathizer is not the same as a soldier. For the umteenth time, military service in Israel is compulsory, all but a few serve in the military, and almost all can be called up at anytime, this includes women. This has nothing to do with the Palestinians or Jordans or anyone. The point is you can't kill loads of people for frivilous reasons and call someone a terrorist, because you're doing the same thing! If the Polish military came to your town or city tonight and started kicking people out their homes, killing people, etc; wouldn't you consider them terorrist?

Military service is compulsory because that is what is necessary for a country of 7 million to defend itself against your 100 million pals all around them.

Yep, we started to be hated as much as Israel once we started acting just like Israel in the middle east. Ditto about criticizing Israel, it is a sure way to kill your career.

Jordan has not killed more Palestinians than Israel. At least since the artifical creation of Israel by the United Nations in 1946.

The government of Jordan, like the governments of Saudi Arabia and Egypt, are hated by large segments of each respective country's population, (say less, like Jordan, than either Egypt or Saudi Arabia, where they are seen as what they are, brutal and oppressive governments very cozy with the U.S.)

Another reason the U.S. is hated is our continued propping up of criminal governments, be they in Israel or somewhere else. The relationship with Israel is especially sickening, as was underscored today when Netanyahu was with Pres. Obama for another slurp fest with a U.S. enabling President

Israel is the terrorist, not the Palestinians. Israel has the ability and resources to terrorize the Palestinians and not vice versa What the Israelis have done to the Palestinians do you honestly expect Palestinian parents to teach their children to love and admire the ones who oppress and kill them? Get real, and Israeli children are taught to hate and look down on the Palestinian children. You talk about strapping on bombs, and crap, but it is the Israelis who've killed the bulk of the civilians in the conflict, so its almost laughable to hear the Israelis cry about civilian casualties..... Or should we crying? How do people in this country consider the ones doing the killing to be innocent? It makes no sense!
