Coming to a war theater not near you.
it's : Preying Mattis !!!

He's tough, gruff, and he likes to shoot people !!!!

Grizzled old war dog.....can you stand it ?

Maybe he flosses with barbed wire. Feel safer, America ????

Welcome to the Military-Industrial Complex. Enjoy your stay, and please remember to avoid friendly fire (if possible)

Good guy, and a great pick by Obama.

I'm surprised that he selected the rather gritty Mattis, but think he will be a great team fit with the smooth and analytical Patraeus.

After 9 years I challenge someone to find some "good news" from the 'Stan.

Fighting expensive, deadly, and unwinnable wars against a tribal, Muslim culture well known for kicking out occupying belligerents does not lend itself towards "good news"

Hey, I know! Let's pull out of the Middle East, and invade Viet Nam again!

It's never too late to finish the job.

Viet Nam, hell! Ten years before we valiantly volunteered to get the French out of their mess in Viet Nam, people were wringing their hands over the "loss" of China.

Let's fix things up there!
