When I see some of my fellow Americans who just happen to be black talk about my country...OUR country...it seems that there is a lack of appreciation for all of the great things that America has done for them.
Why?
[Not ALL blacks...but MANY, MANY blacks]
Yes, we all know about slavery, Jim Crow, etc., etc.
But there is more to our history than just the bad stuff.
Blacks weren't asked to be brought here to America, so I don't know if you should call it "luck". I speak for myself & I wouldn't rather be anywhere else... You're right there are more good things that should be brought to light over the bad things!

Slavery, KKK...etc... = past Some blacks should think about present = a very small part of americans is racist, the president is black, you can find black CEOs/doctors/physicians...etc... But black immigrants are happy to be in the US, mostly immigrants from Africa and Carribeans.

Despite thier not being "asked" to come to America, essentially every black who is here now is much better off than had thier ancestors remained in Africa. Not diminishing at all the evil and tyranny of slavery that resulted in the forced "immigration" of their ancestors, all blacks in the US today have benefited from that initial very bad luck.
All I have to say is...........in before the lock!
