I still don't think Palin will run. She is having fun and making money doing what she's doing now, plus she is still young enough that she could run 10 or 14 years.

The midterms will whet my appetite a little but I still can't wait for 2012. The Presidential elections are like a polinerd's Mecca.
I am expecting a few to come out of the woodwork just after the Nov elections. Don't expect too much action before that, but they will need to start announcing within the next 6 months or so. It is sad how long a candidate has to run, but it is the new politics.

I agree, Palin is not going to run nor is Huckabee.

It isn't just his religion but that is a big issue. It is the disaster of health care in Mass that will haunt him among other things.

I am backing Paul who knows more about economics and monetary issues then 99% of those imbeciles in DC.I realize he will not make it out of the {R} primaries because of the strong hold of the neo cons. With that said I am looking at one person only and that is Haley Barbour who understands the 10th amendment and state rights.
During the meeting with Obama and congress on HC there was no Gov's at the meeting and the only one that brought that to the nations attention was Haley.McCain,McConnell, and the Boner were at the meeting and said nothing about that.See they give just lip service to state rights if otherwise Barbour and some other Gov's would have been at the table, right?
I am also watching Christie in NJ,but if either one is a big military spending neo con they will not get my vote or any support.

Most of the candidates are very weak for the GOP. They also haven't figured out that allowing Obama to speak completely knocks them out every time. Romney is a good speaker and can probably have a great mass appeal, but the Mormon thing will be his Achilles heel once again. The religious right won't have any of that. That doesn't leave anybody strong to run against Obama.
What do you mean by Obama speaking completely knocks them out? Could you please explain

Palin is running right now, isn't she. I don't care how honorable you are you dont spend the amount of time and energy traveling around the country campaigning for others that she is unless you are building political capital. If Haley the gals in CA and others that she helped in the primary win in November she will have "presumably" some pretty powerful allies in Governor ships and Senators. She will go full steam ahead, I am in agreement with the majority of her politics, but I believe the bigots on the left and in the media would delight in destroying her. Nikki Haley will have about the same amount of experience as Obama by then I say nominate her !

BO gets away with being a retard because the left wing media covers for him, but that won't help him against Newt Gingrich or Michelle Bachmann.

I sure hope Gingrich gets the nomination and they have at least five televised debates. I need a good laugh at BO's expense.

In Carter’s words during that 1980 face-off, Reagan was “extremely dangerous and belligerent” on nuclear weapons policy, “very dangerous” on Social Security, as well as “heartless” toward "working families" and guilty of “a very great insensitivity” toward poor people.

You still have to sell BO to the voting public again.

I think Carter would have a better shot.
