I disagree with the lawsuit. Parents have no right to turn over responsibility for their minor children flying alone to the airlines. Why not just drug them, crate them, and put them in the cargo bay with the dogs if that is as much as you value your child's safety?
The 14-year-old boy's attorney stated: He was a very scared little boy. Since when is a 14-year-old a "little boy"? Attorneys, you got to love em, ANYTHING for cash.
"Scared little boy"? An overstatement, to be sure.
Now had the lawyer described him as a freaked out/grossed out young teen, well that would be more accurate.
When I was 13 the father of the baby I was sitting for came home drunk and was hitting on me. It was so uncomfortable - it made me feel gross about myself, him and the entire situation. I mean - not all 14 year olds are having sex. Maybe this boy hadn't even held a girls hand before and here was this older woman sloppy drunk and hitting on him.
I don't care what age you are, that would not make for an unpleasant flight.
But when you are 14 and inexperienced.......wow, that would be horrendous.
As for the men above who think that this sounds pretty good - would you have the same reaction if this were a 14 year old girl sitting next to a drunk Roman Polanski? Or how about the same 14 year old boy sitting next to a drunk gay guy?
Exactly.
