Blaming the rich for the problems in the US is nothing but deflection.
Keep your eyes on the ball that the WH is tossing you and you will not see the real problems.
P.S. If their were no 'rich' people, there would be no jobs for the rest of us. Where are you going to get a job? Silly thinking. The 'rich' are leaving this country, because of the BS, and cannot practice, capitalism. Ok, we are all the same financially--------where are you going to get a job? I am poor, but stop villify people that are able to produce and create jobs for us. I will be so happy, if in Nov. we 'throw' out all the ignorant Dems.
Why do you think? If they give handouts to their rich buddies on wall street, the Republicans benefit from it. If they give it to the poor man across the street, they don't benefit from giving him money.
Republicans----the party of "morals"----are in reality the most hypocritical and idiotic people you will find in town. If you give to foreign countries or Israel, it is ok. Give to the American people and it is SOCIALISM. GASP GASP!
Republicans----the party of "morals"---are in reality the party that believes in the Constitution which guarantees that every citizen has the right to take responsibility for themselves..."NOT" spread the wealth.
Only by earning one's own way through life can one build esteem, pride in one's self and, most important, self satisfaction in one's life.
Welfare/unemployment, etc., should ONLY be handled at the local level, preferably not by government. Welfare/unemployment should only ever be a "hand up" and NEVER a "hand out." Welfare/unemployment has predictably evolved into a way of life more often than not leading to crime. There are other problems such as we should never have allowed any public sector jobs to unionize, which is another issue that is destroying this country and which I hope and pray Republicans will correct. Any public sector job, meaning any job being paid for by tax-payer $'s, is in automatic conflict-of-interest when unionized. This must be corrected, as is obvious by the many States now on the precipice of bankruptcy and the many manufacturing jobs driven out of this Country by Union contracts that have gotten so very outrageous, even in the private sector.
Nothing changes with this type of plan. If people are forced to pay for the pooor then they resent them. (and they tend to give less of their spare money)
It is not right to steal from the rich just to give to the poor. Our gov't leaders have failed us, not just the "rich" people that you speak of. Sure, there are plenty of greedy rich people out there. But we need to stop worrying about them.
You say that my "plan" would not change anything and that people will still resent having to pay for others. Well, the plan would work if people grew up! So, it's not the plan, it's the so far unmanifested enlightened maturity that says that no matter how much we make, we can't take it all with us. Anybody who builds a house will enjoy it until the elements take it away, a slow process. We still have to pay to maintain the house, so it'll cost us even if we've already paid the loan off. So does that mean we shouldn't bother building houses if they're going to eventually go to ruin? I think if we can convince others that it's just a controllable fact of communal life and that their fear of limitation is unfounded, then perhaps we can find the solution.
Nobody is a zero and nobody is infinite, hence a need to incorporate a lower and and an upper bound. Perhaps when we build an economic system that doesn't prey on victims and rewards the greedy at the poor's expense, then we'll achieve a truly limitless range.
Last time I checked, "rich folk" pay almost all of our taxes and those taxes go toward helping the unemployed.
Are you saying only "rich folk" are Democruds?
Business owners, (rich folk) PAY for unemployment, your state, AND federal.
Nothing comes out of your paycheck!
So, all those umemployed, need to say thank you, for their 'rich' employers.
(If the gov. 'extends" it is welfare, just another name). These employers pay business TAX, they contribute HALF of the Fica for YOUR retirement. You each pay, .0765%. Called Social Security.
Employers, pay for the Workmen's Compensation, if you get hurt. Not the gov. Then they pay TAXES for the profit of the business. They used to pay for your health insurance too. (As bookeeper, I know there are MORE taxes, it also depends on your state, how much.)
Really , really wish, the Dems would do some studying, instead of throwing out all those 'buzz' words. (Greed? are you kiding me? would you want to go into business and NOT make money?) Same crappy, thinking, over and over again.
If it weren't for 'rich folks', where are you going to get a job, Dems?

Yet, businesses are profiting like they never have before, sitting on trillions of dollars. So your argument about the poor businesses being saddled with unnecessary expenditures is kind of hollow.
It's my view that businesses serve the public. They are to be held accountable to our laws and the standards set by the community in which they conduct their affairs. No business has a right to exist, it is not a person and should never be viewed as equal to one. It either succeeds within existing guidelines or fails. It can achieve profit only by conducting itself in a responsible and ethical manner. Businesses are NOT entitled to freedoms like people are. If they are, then we might as well just turn in our DNA at the door and have our bodies turned into robots.
Not meaning to burst your partisan, hyperbolic bubble, but.... has the republican leadership cut unemployment, or have they proposed a plan to cut unemployment compensation?
That is because the demand means that they don't need to produce as much. Labor is about 70% of cost in average company. What they have foud is that they can make a profit in this environment with teh savings. If you want to see hy they are hoardig cash just look at the deficits and future tax cost to pay for it. In 11 months Obama has spent 1.1 trillion dollars and the will amount to 900 billion alone its estimated. that is also why individauls that can are sving at increrased rate; the bill is coming. besides that there is no condifence in Obama who has made it clear he is anti-business and intends to tax them mopre and more to pay for his spending.A employeee has to make money for the business 'its not charity. Now with teh rising cost of labor with rising benfits mandated; why would they hire more and risk failing as many already have. You need to move to a socailist country as that is not how the law is written here. Its the indivdual owner that are protected from the sate by the constituion and bill of rights. Not government as a collective of the people.
