Need I remind some folks that our President was duly elected by the people by an overwhelming margin? He did not become President of the United States because of some dispute over dimpled or pregnant CHADS; nor did his brother make sure that votes favorable to the other side get lost in the Everglades

The hatred for this man has NOTHING to do with policies or conservatism or even socialism .. believe that and I have a bridge for sale and a $3 bill in my wallet.

Please do not shoot the messenger here, but it is a sad day when we as a nation claim that we are better than other countries in the world, when racism is so blatantly in your face in this country, it is down right disgraceful here in the United States of America.
Right , racism is the only thing that put this creature in office ! I know a man that is not full of resentment for both sides of his parents like obeyme is . he's all black but hated by other blacks .

A conrad of thugs and anti-American racist and terrorist is now [ more than likely illegally ] sitting in our White-washed-house . Ayers, Rev.Wright ,farracon to name a few .

you have a lot to learn my friend, the tea party movement was started because of obamas policies. too much spending, the wanting to increase taxes, the health care reform law, the taking over of two domestic automakers and cutting out the bond holders of those companies without even giving them the courtesy of a reach around, the taking over of many financial institutions, the tea party leaders have said enough is enough.

as to the racism in the US, we are mild compared to pother countries. in asia, blacks are considered third class citizens. in africa blacks kill their own, and sell their own into slavery TO THIS DAY. in world war ll germany, jews were considered subhuman, and blacks were even lower than the jews. the reality is that the US has led the world away from racism and slavery.

400 years of slavery, waa waa waa. how about the jews who have suffered 2500 YEARS of slavery? how about the fact that the nazis, russians, and arabs all have tried and are trying to wipe out the jewish race completely?

there was NO reason for the violence in the rodney king riots. those officers were convicted in federal court, granted they were not convicted in state court, but that was a different set of charges. and dont forget that mr king brought it on himself to a point, i agree the officers did go too far, but had king not run from the cops, and had not resisted arrest, chances are very good that mr king would have had to pay a fine, and perhaps spend a few days in jail, and spend time in a drug rehab program. but you forgot that king instigated the contact and escalated the situation didnt you? selective memory much?

It is not like president Obama ran the economic train off the track, because the hatred started long before he was sworn into office. I am sure no one was likening Bush to monkeys or questioning where he was born. Please do NOT assume that I am black because I happen to point out a fact. After slavery, segregation, racism, being lynched repeatedly and pulled behind pickup trucks, don't tell me that as a people you would feel comfortable about what is happening today.
yes obama inherited a bad situation, but it is one that he made worse through his policies. he has tripled the deficit, added $3 trillion to the national debt in 18 months, and his budgets for the next ten years include borrowing $1 trillion per year adding another $10 trillion to the debt.

as for bush being likened to monkeys, that is the tip of the iceberg. there have been plenty of signs with bush being portrayed as a monkey, as hitler, as osama bin laden, he has been called an idiot, and an evil genius at the same time(figure that one out!), he has been blasted as stealing the 2000 election, when the opposite is true, he has even been accused of stealing the 2004 election, but that also has been debunked. his record has been lied about over and over again. people claim that bush lied about WMDs in iraq, but conveniently forget that for two years BEFORE the 2000 elections, both clintons, al gore, dick gephart, harry reid, nancy pelosi, and many other democrats made the SAME claims bush did, again, selective memory much?

You need to read about what the million man march was about instead of presuming to know. They were not walking around with signs depicting the president as a monkey or walking in a crowd of fanatics armed to the teeth talking about gun rights .. had that been a non-white person, what do you think would have happen to him? You have got to be kidding me!!
that is true about the million man march, closer to 200,000 though as i recall, but no where near 1 million men. they were in fact well behaved. in fact i was kind of proud that the march happened. but what about the black tea party person that got his butt beat by seiu members? just because he opposed their views? the seiu had NOTHING happen to them, and that was a black on black crime!!

Prior to the civil rights act of 1964.....most of the hard core racist were in the Democratic party in the South. WHen the democrats championed integration and civil rights....many whites whose interest were filled by the Democratic party decided to cut off their nose to spite their faces and joined the Republican ranks in opposition. They, that racist element, has been there every since. However, some, like Robert Berg of West Virginia, stayed with the Democratic party.

My point is that the Tea Party movement is essentially a Right Wing movement and the right wing movement has had a hard core racist element to it since the 60's. The "tea party" is no more racist than the "Republican Party".
really? you realize that your post here is loaded with bravo sierra dont you? here are a few facts you can look up;

1: in 1860 the republican party was the third party in america behind the democrats and the whig party(the ones the republicans separated from).

2: lincoln, a republican, signed the emancipation proclamation freeing the slaves in the south.

3: lincoln, along with the republicans in congress, pushed the 13th amendment through, signed it, and sent it to the states to be ratified, and it was republicans that got it ratified.

4: in 1964 and 1965 it was the republicans and the northern democrats that got the civil rights act, and the voting rights act through congress, the southern democrats tried like heck to get both pieces of legislation killed.

5: since 1860 the republican party has had a far better record on civil rights for EVERYONE than the democrats.

6: after lincoln was assassinated, his vice president, a democrat, took over and rather than put reconstruction to the fore front, he pushed to the back burner.

7: the KKK was formed by southern democrats

8: the jim crow laws were passed by southern democrats

the point here is that republicans want what is best for EVERYONE, nit just a few selected groups. you should do some research before making the claims you have made here.

It's not the purpose of anyone who substantively disagrees with tea's platform that's in question. It's the conduct, the disrespectful attitude towards the majority of your fellow americans, and especially the abuse of speech.

Kind of like this blog space-- qualified opinions are useful, personal attacks are pointless (unless of course the objective is to maintain ignorance & discord for all, in which case, mission accomplished). Tea doesn't now nor has it ever had a meaningful solution to anything. It's not even a legit 3rd party. Just a bunch of disgruntled people with a long laundry list blaming the dog catcher for taxes and pot holes. You can correct that perception at any time by raising the bar of your own conduct, but I doubt you folks would ever bother taking responsibility for yourselves to that degree. Like your message from the beginning- shift all blame to anywhere else.

So no, I don't think much of Tea at all, but the more high drama they put on trying to threaten Americans is a line they'll regret crossing if they go too far.

Hatred is one of America's most cherished family values. You don't expect it to end soon, do you?

threaten americans? get real the only threats the tea party people make is to vote the incumbents out of office. the nbpp member king samir shabazz is on video threatening white people and their babes with DEATH. if you want to talk about threats, start with that one. and how about the liberals that threatened to kill bush? do we just dismiss them as people misspeaking? i dont want ANY harm to come to obama, in fact i dont even want him to get the sniffles. i hope obama remains healthy during his time in office and after. i also hope he is voted out in 2012.

American value? It is a HUMAN value that has been with us since beginning of civilization and will continue to be with us until the end of civilization. Europeans hate other Europeans, Africans hate other Africans, Americans hate other Americans, Steelers fans hate Browns fans, and on and on. The whole freaking world is jealous of and/or wants to dominate one another.
We are animals, with a touch of conscience thrown in. Unfortunately, we are chasing a ghost in trying to cure it with our current methods.

YouTube - cnn - what if the tea party were black?

You can jump all over me if you wish, and even off topic as some of you have clearly chosen to do. The question still remains "What If The Tea Party was Black?" That is the question of the day.

What a stupid ass question...........do you mean if the tea party was a completely monolithic black organization but they still had the same conservative values? That would be contradictory, but for arguments sake, if it were the case, then the Democrats would be out of power for eternity!
