Obama easily wins this dubious award. Clinton might not even get second place, that prize would likely go to Carter. Clinton was disliked more for his personal conduct than for his politics, the Slick Willie image. Carter, while his personal conduct was not criticized, was disliked for his total ineptness. As for Obama, as being the most far left president in US history, that alone is reason he is so loathed by conservatives. He is viewed as a hard line Marxist that is rapidly changing the nation into becoming like one of the Euro-Socialist countries, or even worse, a clone of the old Soviet Union. Except for a handful of extremists living in the distant past, race has nothing, repeat nothing whatsoever, to do with this dislike, it is strickly ideology, regardless of what the left chooses to parrot. Liberals still have not been able to explain away the widespread popularity and support that Herman Cain enjoyed among all those supposed racists. It was the left, not the right, that did the hatchet job on Cain.
It's always tough for me to get past Juanita Broderick, when it comes to Bill Clinton. In retrospect his economic policies were good, although he really bollixed it when it came to Fannie Mae. But the bottom line is that a sex predator prez is hard to accept.
Obama by contrast is the epitome of family values, which I can't help but admire. But unfortunately he clings to his 'green' energy and socialism, which has proved to be disaster for the US economy.
No, that's not it.
Many conservatives like Thomas Sowell, Alan Keyes and Justice Thomas. And radio talk show hosts such as Larry Elder.
So the only way for a Black person to win approval from you guys is sto be a far right winger

The blind hatred for Obama is much worse. Back in the 1990s, people disagreed with Clinton, but the Republican party hadn't gone full on crazy. Now when Obama governs to the right of Clinton and caves and caves and caves to the GOP, he's rewarded with lockstep total opposition and is accused of being an America-hating communist who isn't even eligible to be president.
When he backs Republican ideas from the 90s, he's a radical left wing socialist. When he caves to the insurance industry on the individual mandate (something he opposed as a candidate), he's accused of shredding the constitution, even though this is something Republicans were fighting for in the 90s and something Mitt Romney signed into law in MA and argued for a few years ago. When he backs a bipartisan deficit commission bill, the Republicans who sponsored it vote against their own bill. When he endorses cap and trade (a Republican idea), they decide that climate change is made up and universally oppose it. When Democrats support reducing Medicare spending, something Republicans voted for on multiple occasions, they're accused of wanting to kill old people. Republicans say tax cuts are the way out of the recession, yet when Obama signs $288 billion in tax cuts, he's called a business-hating socialist hellbent on destroying America.
As much as I disagree with them politically, I don't despise either of these men.
And from reading the previous posts it seems like many of my fellow CD members feel the same way.
I see this as a big difference between republicans and those on that left that just despised President Bush and Cheney and pretty much all Republicans and couldn't say enough vile and horrible things about them. Including, recently on this forum, wishing Cheney death. Horrible.
And I agree with the previous poster who said he disagreed with Clinton but thought he had the countries best interest in mind.
And yes, although Clinton lied under oath and truly shamed himself with his loathsome behavior I think he has some likeable qualities, and I think he was probably truly sorry that he hurt his family, especially his daughter.
But Obama, though I don't despise him, I don't trust him, want him out of office and do not think he has our countries best interest in mind. And I don't find him likeable in the least.
You nailed it and used the very words I was going to.
"Hate" belongs to the Left and we need look no further than some of the vile, insulting threads on this forum that are still active. "Mistrust" belongs to the Right. I would also add that neither Clinton nor Obama have my respect as suitable material for the presidency.
Clinton was really hated also. However, this hatred towards Obama seems personal and it's rather intense. The hatred for Clinton seemed more seated in politics, and a little personal, especially after the Lewinsky scandal. This hatred with Obama seems transcends partisan politics and has taken on a paranoid feature.
What I think it is, the two have very much the same far leftist positions with the same catering to the multi-national corporations. And just like Clinton has become exceedingly weathy from his political dealings and sell-out of his country, so will Obama.
There was nothing sincere about Clinton though, he was obviously in it for himself, craved the attention and celebrity status, and of course the big money and easy sex it was getting him. Obama seems a little more sincere, not as much in it for the sex. Is it better to have a far leftist that is more sincere? I'm not sure but Obama can be almost likeable and less slimey.
That's a hard one. They've yet to my to link Obama with a murder (see Vince Foster). Maybe that's next.
Some RWNJs are saying Obama had Breitbart killed.
