LOL, i nearly fell out of my chair at this statement.
Conservatives DON'T Mind helping people, but not as individuals, but by making America a more free, more opportunity-filled country. It is up to the individuals themselves to make the most of the opportunity freedom and free markets make available - to win or otherwise, on their own.
LOL...no...anything coming from the mouth of black people gets rejected and framed "Tirad of an angry hate filled black man mad at the world for his personal failings"....lol.
The thing is this. There are countless studies that show white racism being a big factor in American life. Year after year these studies come out...and year after year white folks ignore them or find a reason to discredit them....as if they have greater intellect than Harvard Researchers and or have conducted their own study without sampling biases from a cross section of the country.
You want some one to fess up to something they are not so bad you can taste it.
If you want big government and big brother ease dropping, take off to Europe. I expect there you may find what you're looking for.
If you are against big government, then, join a tea party near you.
The thing is this. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of studies that have been done that demonstrate that the racism white's fiend does not exist or that exist but is benign, is actually present and potent. Whites...however....simply ignore them or attempt to find a way to discredit them so they can continue with their ignorance.
I have a question. Since no white person these days believe that they are a "Racist" and will vehemently argue that they are not.....if white racism does actually exist......then how do you distinguish between those whites who are not racist and those that are? If a person did not use racial epithets or mentioned that they viewed black people as being "beneath" and inferior to whites.......how could you glean, from their behavior, those who actually believed this from those that do not?
How can you tell what cup contains the racist when they all look the same?
Replace race with economic class and the argument makes sense.
Even if you did that....the fact that the black poverty rate is 3 times that of whites STILL means that blacks are disproportioantely impacted than are whites. So classism in America Is Racism as well.

That's a funny statement as the US is ranked way behind Europe, Canada and other countries in terms of privacy, surveillance, freedom of press, etc.
While I don't like a government/state that forces itself upon my life, I am more worried about the corporate world, especially since globalization took off. Its negative influence on society is not as obvious, but even greater.

And the Black poverty rate is even higher than Hispanic poverty rate.
Why would that be ?
Maybe shedding the "victim" mentality and upbringing that seem to permeate the Black communities might change things.
If Hispanics can raise themselves out of poverty yet the Blacks can't then something else is going on.

Hispanics, like most immigrants, have a cultural foundation that they build upon. Moreover, most people are highly motivated to come to the US because it is seen as the land of opportunity. African Americans have been cut off from their African roots and culture. They ONLY foundation and history that they have to build off of is slavery and oppression. Furthermore, while immigrants see America optimistically, African Americans have viewed it pessimistically as a result of the TRUTH of how opportunity was denied blacks for so long.
Blacks have been, in essence, brainwashed through centuries of cultural conditioning. Even if white racism no longer existed today (which is laughable in its absurdity) the effects of past racism would still weigh down blacks pyschologically and hence economically.
If you tie an elephant up with a rope when it is young it will struggle to break free but will lack the strength to do so. When that elephant becomes an adult....it is actually strong enough to break the rope.....but it has been conditioned to believe that it cannot....and hence it cannot.
As much effort that was put into putting black people down should be applied in helping black folks get back up. Its the current racism of white America that prevents that from manifesting. Blacks were TARGETED by laws to create a society where blacks were unequal with whites. Yet, current whites are against any laws that TARGET blacks to undo the damage and promote EQUALITY. Such resitance to logic can only be rooted in emotions and or ignorance......
I'm astounded that anyone really believes that the tens of millions of fellow Americans who are on the other side of nebulously defined fence of "liberal vs. "conservative" can be accurately defined as willing or unwilling to help others because of it.
