Republicans don't have a clue!

Quote:
If Republicans attempt to repeal the health care bill, they'll run headlong into the Congressional Budget Office, which found that the health care bill reduces deficits by over $100 billion over its first 10 years. Repeal that, and Republicans will have to raise taxes or cut spending to keep from driving up the deficit they decry.
Quote:
CBO itself says that the final health care law, as enacted and which is taking shape today, will decrease the deficit by $138 billion, as compared to what would have happened if Congress had done nothing. Now that it's the law of the land, CBO would find that a straight repeal would increase the deficit by about the same $138 billion. Replacing it with the GOP's alternative health care bill wouldn't come close to making up the difference.

Liberal logic.

Let's see................................... if we repeal something that increases the debt by $3.2 trillion over ten years, exactly how does that increase, rather than reduce the debt?

This was the insanity of Obamacare-

we will add 30-40 million patients and it will cut costs
we will tax buisness and it will help buisness
we will allow everyone to keep thier current healthcare plan, but probably not
we will force buisness, simply by relative cost, to dump patients to federal roles, skyrocketing government expenses for healthcare.

Being liberal must be alot like being stoned- one has a sense of serenity, but cannot think clearly.

Lol...let's pretend just for one second that the money from the extra taxes will actually even go to fund this ridiculous pie-in-the-sky health care bill...when does creating a giant government program EVER lead to less spending?

Get real. This program does nothing to increase access to health care and never addressed any of the problems we're really having. Meanwhile, it created many different ways to take income from those who already pay the most taxes...it's a liberal super-gold mine!!!

It will be a fine day when that "health care" law is done away with.

And, it will be. The public has seen the fraud that that law is.

All government programs were created in mind to deal with debt or some problem that was causing money to be thrown into a bottomless pit. No government program has ever stayed within CBO estimates, NONE. ALL government programs have ALWAYS cost far more than was originally estimated.

With the CBO it is garbage in and garbage out.

The real facts about this bill is that it never did anything to cut costs in a meaningful way, all it did was shove more people into a system in need of a major overhaul.

Lets not forget a great deal of the burden of this bill will be felt on states that have to deal with this new unfunded mandate and also in higher premiums and taxes for the majority of Americans. There is no way that removing it would not lower the deficit, especially when you consider the fact that like all big government programs it will only grow with time.

So I will gladly applaud the Republicans in getting rid of it and putting together a real reform bill. That is truly about lowering costs and not just another big government takeover.

Way to avoid the question.........the cbo just crunches the numbers they are given, garbage in garbage out. Nice try, but really..... you don't expect any one to take you serious do you ? http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpu...-assessed.html CBO had originally estimated that the health care reform bill would result in a net reduction in federal deficits of $143 billion from 2010-2019; this revised number would eliminate most of that savings.

Now Democrats will run every campaign on the "evil Republicans want to repeal your health care!" platform as log as it's not repealed.
That seems to be the main purpose of this law.
