Explain how anything they SPLC does could possibly be interpreted as "anti-American."
The SPLC harasses innocent people over their political views, if someone was harassing homosexuals because they held pro homosexual views we consider the harasser of homosexuals to be a bigot, but when the SPLC harasses people for their political views they are civil right defenders, it is hypocrisy. The SPLC are a typical hate group, because they hate and harass everyone who doesn't share their views.
An interesting trend, here. I see people labeling groups like the NAACP and this one, both established long ago, to be racist groups. Why? These same people also say these groups are no longer relevant. Again, why? Did racism and bigotry suddenly disappear? Are we as a nation saying we have come as far as we are willing to go in race relations in this country?

Examples? This post is trying to imply that the SPLC goes after Republicans and conservatives.
As long as they don't imitidate and/or harrass folks when they are showing their con like or Republican views, the SPLC doesn't go after them.....
anyway, most of the time, people go to the SPLC, for help, the SPLC doesn't go looking for racial opporunities, without being asked, generally speaking.
If the falsehood the above post implies was true, I think they would have a lawsuit against the tea party by now, eh?

Links? Proof, or is this just your humble opinion?

Please provide evidence of this "harassment."
Please explain who exactly it is that the SPLC "hates."
And, by the way, none of the above, even if true, would make them "un-American."
I'd love to know where you get your "information" about the SPLC. Stormfront, maybe?

You have some reading comprehension problems, it has nothing to do with republicans or conservaives. This is about the SPLC harassing people who are holding perfectly legal views in this country, that makes them a hate group for attacking people who don't agree with their views. It is that simple.

Go look at their website genius, they aren't presenting people in an unbiassed manner, they are basically calling everyone a Nazi who doesn't share their worldview.

Yeah, I can see several Instances of the word Nazi in there:
The Southern Poverty Law Center is a nonprofit civil rights organization dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry, and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of society.
Founded by civil rights lawyers Morris Dees and Joseph Levin Jr. in 1971, the SPLC is internationally known for tracking and exposing the activities of hate groups. Our innovative Teaching Tolerance program produces and distributes – free of charge – documentary films, books, lesson plans and other materials that promote tolerance and respect in our nation’s schools.
We are based in Montgomery, Ala., the birthplace of the modern civil rights movement, and have offices in Atlanta, New Orleans, Miami, Fla., and Jackson, Miss.
And this is scary. Imagine, making hate groups pay for their crimes How freaking facist of them.
The Southern Poverty Law Center monitors hate groups and extremists throughout the United States and exposes their activities to law enforcement agencies, the media and the public. We’ve crippled some of the country’s most notorious hate groups by suing them for murders and other violent acts committed by their members.

Nice try, but a major fail. Look at their stories on individuals, and how they call people Neo Nazi's and other smears, because they hold a system of beliefs that differs from the SPLC. Calling a group a "hate group" is silly, because every group has things they support and don't support, so every group that doesn't agree 100% with me, I can call them a "hate group?"
