wonder what it's like being a gung ho warmonger ? waking up, and wanting to kill someone.....someone foreign....a person who sees you as the enemy, and rightly so. I would be happpier of the troops guarded our borders, or fought the drug cartels in mexico. They are the closer threat, and absolutely...foreign. how's about droning them ????

Check out snopes or the dozens of other sites that have addressed this.

BTW, remember Calley?
Remember Mai Lai?
Were there not baby killers among them.

Different war, there was a draft.

There is no draft now.

Repeating falsehoods says a lot more about the poster than being too lazy to look up the truth.
Your from Earth ? Hmmmmm, what were you doing back in the 60's - 70's.
Could you be the one who spit on us as we arrived home from "Nam ".
Nothing personal, just curious

Why don't you go to a VA Medical Center and have a chat
with one of your local vets. I think you will get a better
understanding other than gung ho warmonger.....
I do think our national guard should be used exactly for
our borders. Pass it on to Washington

Sad that you don't realize that. It is not just about the soldiers in this day it is about ALL that died to create America and to protect it.

If we did not have our men and woman in the military we would not be here, we would have been taken over long ago. So YES you have and still do need a soldier.

I agree with you on needing troops at the border. I also think that needs to be National Guardsmen. I'm all for droning the cartels. Saw too much violence in Mexico when I was down there not to(Mexico is a whole other ball game though)

I believe this is the 4th time this has been mentioned in this thread but that's been debunked numerous times.
Anecdotes do not equal data.

Yep, millions of Americans spit on you.
Doubtful at best. Try looking at one of the several links posted upthread.
Oh yes, I know, you and your friends were all spit on.

As I recall, people were drafted during Nam; it wasn't their choice (in many cases).
There were many local VVAWs throughout the US (Viet Nam Veterans Against the War).
And me, I was enlisted in the Air Force.

The military today is all volunteer, no one is forcing anyone to join up.
Or have I missed something lately?
