BTW, given that he targeted a union leader I'm surprised the crazier conservatives here don't look at him as a hero....
^^^ Sick and uncalled for partisal fodder. No decent human being relishes murder or makes a muderer out to be a hero. Shame on you!

Others can not make you miserable if you don't let them. It is your reaction to it that makes you miserable.

Exactly! I worked somewhere for a short time but if you went to the bathroom for more than 3 minutes and went more than once your shift two guards would come and escort you out. I felt sorry for all the pregnant women that I saw leaving. Now this was call center so nothing top secret.

I have a related question for you guys.

Would you guys agree that society breeds mass violence?

Would you guys agree that "society created the monster by being the monster"?

Take school bullying and school shootings, for example. In these cases, a kid is pushed too far by his tormentors and commits a massacre.

Just watch these two YouTube videos to see what I mean:

Monsters [Bullies] created the monster [the shooter]?

And how does all of this tie into America's culture of violence?

What do you guys think?

I was referring to "crazier conservatives"

I wasn't necessarily referring to you. And I was not referring to sane conservatives.

If you identify with the "crazy conservative" category, then that is your choice.

And as for making murderers out to be heroes, not just certain people in Muslim countries who idolize the 9/11 hijackers comes to mind, but also people in Northern Ireland (or NYC and Philly for that matter) who idolize IRA bombers, or the teacher who led the elementary school kids she taught in cheering for Lee Harvey Oswald back in a Texas classroom in 1963 (those kids didn't know any better)

There are more crazies out there than anyone realizes.

I see that American attitudes are changed.
When was the last time you saw a movie that didn't have violence ?
Violence makes the front page.
Violence makes heroes (sick but to some it does)
The PC attitude towards violence stretches to find a reason, an excuse to put the violent person in a box and label them as a victim themselves (of society, of harassment, bullying, you name it).

Violence has become acceptable. This type of violence as happened in CT has happened so frequently it has a name.."going postal".

The guy went to work with 2 handguns and a shotgun. IMO it was premeditated. He was not going down alone and the first ones he shot at were the guys that gave him the option to resign or get fired.

Its sad. I dont live in the US and my country has an more stringent control of guns. Ironically the last time there was more stringent control of gun ownership was the previous conservative government here and that was an aresult of an lone gun man massacaring at least 20 to 30 people in the late 1990s.

IF there were even a few racist people there, and that's in question given the guys mental state and the possibility he made it up, then he in all likelihood didn't even shoot them and took out other people. I think he targeted his bosses and this was never a racial incident. I'd like his family and girlfriend to come clean and give us the truth about any drugs or alcohol problems he had or mental instability. I think if they are lying for protecting him they are hurting the innocent victims.

The guy went postal.

Those bathroom stall pictures could have easily been drawn by him if he wanted to portray himself a victim of racial harassment.
