population control would be better. fewer people= wide open highways, cleaner air ....at least it's a clever idea they have for the bus, and not too claustrophobic, but imagine a pile up, and getting stuck for hours ?

They aren't making new Chinese babies in this bus, nor are they holding meetings concerning the one-child policy in this bus, so what does it have to do with population?

Are you thinking that if the roads are more efficient people will decide to have more kids to fill them?

That might happen to some fat soccer mom in a Sunbelt suburb in America--but in China people are used to this type of thing.

China is becoming a more civilized, educated and intelligent society. America, otoh, is becoming more and more primitive, savage and dog-eat-dog by the second...

Maybe we have to simply admit the unspoken truth that nobody wants to hear but everyone knows deep-down is true. The Chinese and Asians in general (East and South) are simply more intelligent and have better genes than everyone else...

The bus can theoretically deal with with congested traffic in a way not requiring huge confiscation of the taxpayer's money.

Take, for example, Boston's The Big Dig: The project was estimated in 1985 at $2.8 billion. By the time it was done, it had racked up $15 billion in costs and another $7 billion in interest charges, for a total of $22 billion that won't be paid off until 2038.
