They laugh at their viewers, and most of the so called "news people" at FOX probably don't believe a word of the lies they peddle to their flock.
How many hours each day do you watch Fox News? How many of those non-believers can you name? Do you know which one is Megyn Kelly?

I don't think where Fox News is headquartered is relevant. Like all major TV networks they broadcast where the studios are and where the population is the greatest. If it were not New York City than it probably would have been Los Angeles. Perhaps Atlanta but NYC and LA are where many important people live and are the established locations for television. If Fox News wanted to be located in a red state they would probably have to move every election or so since the red states continue to shrink and there are no red states on the Northeast or the West Coast. I don't think Fox News wants to move to Birmingham Alabama!

All of the major networks - in this case CNN, NBC, and FOX - were established well before the launch of 24 hour cable news in the mid 90s. It does not really make sense to relocate your entire base of operations to be closer to your audience - or in this case perceived audience - when the infrastructure already exists in one central location. Besides, a "red" state already has CNN.

Of course this is not even a serious thread judging by the OP, why I even bother to answer is a mystery to me.

Why is it that Foxnews broadcast from the Rockefeller Center in Manhattan, New York, one of the most liberals states and one of the most liberal counties.
It's so liberal, that New York county (Manhattan) was won by Obama in 2008 with 85% of the votes?

Is Foxnews afraid of being close to conservatives?
Why do they rather live in a liberal state?
So you're proposing that people (and why not, businesses too) should be grouped according to their political philosophy? Hmmm...interesting. Mandatory relocation according to how you've registered as a voter. I don't doubt you could run for office on a platform like that.

Some people might possibly object to forced relocation on account of their political beliefs, but what the hell!

There's something called "affiliate stations".

I guess Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck like liberal New York City so much that they can't move to West Virginia or Nebraska.
Your Robert Byrd (from the Ku Klux Klan and West Virginia) was a liberal Democrat.

We just got a front row seat in the white house press room. You don't put Yertle the Turtle from Fox Broadcasting's 10PM local news show in that seat and traveling with the President. Fox Broadcasting has no national nightly news show like ABC, CBS and NBC. There's no Fox Broadcasting version of Brian Williams, Katie Couric and whoever is on ABC these days.

For a cable news operation like MSNBC the NBC national news broadcasting station (the one with Brian Williams) is bigger and more powerful than MSNBC. MSNBC is their ugly kid not the other way around.

Who would be your Fox News guests and your panelists and your analysts if you were broadcasting from Oklahoma, for example? They would never have anyone physically in the studio.

There is another issue too. Cable News networks need to be in the Eastern time zone if they cover politics (DC) and finance (NY) on a national level. That's yet another reason why National news shows don't broadcast from Los Angeles.

Gretchen Carlson is one of the dumbest women on FOX, and while I agree she is beautiful, she is also representative of FOX:

Packaged to look good but having little or no substance below the surface.

Substance = integrity/intellect/honesty

And thats only the beginning with FOX. They actually distort the facts to meet their objectives, which means it aint news, its propaganda.

They are a beacon of light in a see of darkness.

Because, simply, that is where the "hub" of activity is located. They can interview someone while they are on their way or coming from being interviewed on another network. It's a cost factor.

The CBS headquarters are located at: 530 W 57th St, New York, NY‎
The NBC headquarters are located at: 30 Rockefeller Plz # 270E, New York, NY‎
The Fox Headquarters are located at: 205 E 67th St, New York, NY
The ABC headquarters are located at:77 W 66th St # 13, New York, NY

She does the morning show. You don't have to be a genius to do morning news shows on any channel but she graduated with honors from Stanford and studied abroad at Oxford. You?

Katie Couric graduated from the University of Virginia. Her degree wasn't in journalism, either.

Brian Williams didn't even graduate from college.

Matt Lauer didn't technically graduate from college, either. He got credit for his life experience for his missing credits and they gave him a degree.
