using the intervention of science, so that they can create a new child? I have no problems with them adopting, but given that it's physically impossible for two people of the same sex to have sex and produce offspring, should they be allowed to using scientific technology to do something? If you want to have a child, should you be forced to have sex with someone of the opposite sex? I mean, that's how it's been done for millions of years.

You just made me wonder if we are dropping to the level of our animal friends. It made me think of how some people make a living from impregnating cows instead of doing it the old fashioned way. I guess it is all legal and I don't mind artificial insemination but in the case of humans I just can't support it. We are in total agreement, I think.

I just think it should be a consequence of the way things are. I'm a male, so I have to register for the draft, etc, it's just the way things are. If you want to have a child, you need to have sex with someone of the opposite sex.

Kinda like of being 5'10, no jumping ability, I'm never going to be an NBA player. That's life..

Yes, gays should be allowed to produce offspring.

Artificial insemination isn't something that's forced, though. Nor is it exclusively used for homosexual couples.

Since most gay children are offspring of non-gay parents, maybe nobody should be allowed, since there is always a chance.

I agree with you. OP is grasping for straws - just trying to make an irrelevant point.

Interesting question. I have no problem with homosexual couples adopting, but i had not given much thought to artificially reproducing.

I think both of the above quotes are interesting points, and food for thought.

Also it's like as a consequence of me being unmarried and not having kids, I cannot enter a chuck e cheese by myself. That's part of life. It's a consequence.

My wife and I entered chuck-e-cheese without our daughter before to play some of hte arcade games.

A few of my male friends have also done the same on their own.

But what if a heterosexual couple wanted to have kids - but the female was infertile. Does that mean the male should have sex with the surrogate? Isn't that considering cheating?
