She's no more a friend of Shariah Law than you are.

Are you talking about Kagan? Or Rehnquist? Hint: You don't even have to be a law school graduate to be named to the Supreme Court.

There's been at least 10, including the previous Chief Justice William Rehnquist.

Why not?

If prior experience as being a judge was a qualification for the Supreme Court, we would have lost the service of individuals like John Marshall, Louis Brandeis, and 38 other Supreme Court Justices. In fact, 2 of the last 4 Chief Justices - Earl Warren and William Rehnquist - had no prior judicial experience when nominated to the Supreme Court ... by Republican Presidents.

You mean like William Rehnquist, Lewis Powell, Abe Fortas, Byron White, Arthur Goldburg, Earl Warren, Tom Clark, Harold Burton and the other 32 justices that did not have judicial experience?

Probably because they have keen minds, legal experience and good political connections.

FindLaw Supreme Court Center: Supreme Court: Justices Without Prior Judicial Experience
Wow. So one third of the SC justices had no prior experience as a judge. Good to know.

Given that you didn't know the what the qualifications were for Supreme Court Justices, didn't know how qualified other justices were....

What sort of background do you bring to the court?
