Lets worry about all of that stuff, after we cut the biggest things first. Like military expenses that are 4 times greater than the rest of the world combined.

That link isn't anything more than Republican propaganda. If Eric Cantor was serious about cutting the budget, military would be at the top of the list.

As I read this forum I am shocked at how little some people understand our tax system and economy.

The design is to keep the money moving.

That is why we are taxed on what we KEEP, not what we make.

I know lots of veterans who enlisted to fight for their country, and its people.

If the countries duly elected officials passed what you consider to be "socialist policies" I suppose they are fighting for them.

I know when I enlisted, I did it because I love my country. I don't worry about policy, I have faith in the good nature of the American people. The same American people that support the "socialist" systems of social security, medicare/medicaid, and unemployment, by an overwhelming 70%.

Out of curiosity in this way to greatly reduce the burden of the wealthy and increase the burden on the poor and middle class. What would the rate be?

What, protect American businesses and jobs? Do what the Founding Fathers intended? Allow Americans to spend their own money on stimulating the economy and contributing to the charities they know to be efficient and for causes they believe in?

The sheeple would much rather have an abusive government confiscate everything dollar they earn, and micro-manage every move they make!

No need for thanks, it brought its own rewards, but thank you for supporting your enlisted men and women.

Stop buying tanks, jeeps, and weapons the military says it does not need. Charge market rates for gold rights instead of rates set 100 years ago.
