The Associated Press: All Mexican states must recognize gay marriages

Mexico, for all of its faults actually beat the United States to the punch. The United States is so retarded. If ultra-Catholic Mexico could do it, why can't the UNited States? What's next? Iran gives same sex marriage the Green Light?

Great - I think it would be good for gay couples to immigrate illegally from the U.S. into Mexico to reside in order to be married. The coyotes who bring illegals here can actually make money going back across the border instead of carrying an empty load into Mexico. It's a win-win situation.

That's nice and all but do you know what gay people have to go though in Latin America? It would make a gay man's trip to a Wyoming cowboy bar seem like a walk in Golden Gate park.

It's symbolic at best, and Latino culture itself will make sure nothing on the ground really changes.

Pretty pathetic.

What's next? Palestine legalizing weed before us?

Sad indeed. But they also beat the U.S. to the punch in regards to Slavery as well. One of the underlying factors in the Texas-Mexico war instigated by recent immigrants from the United States who pledged allegiance as Mexican citizens.

Go figure.

Why again should we be sad we didn't create a new form of marriage for gay people before the Mexican gov't did?

Actually Latin American countries are not that ultra-Catholic. While some people are religious, they tend to be more open minded about some issues. Argentina just passed similar laws.

Over here in the USA, some people are actually too obsessed with religion, and that includes Protestants and some Catholics. I have never heard a Latin American actor or public figure say they are against birth control (like Mel Gibson) because it's against their religion. I think in a country like Mexico they would become the laughing stock of the country if they made such statements.

It truly appears that the "Crud Of Society Has Risen To The Top" in America and we have without a doubt truly won the "Race To The Bottom" ! My how the cheering voices of the anti-decency and no morals crowd must be resounding !!!
