Well that justifies Obama's numerous vacations.
Don't go saying you didn't like Bush when the first thing you do is compare Bush to Obama indicating "well Bush did it so Obama can too".
Where's the libs defending this with "he works hard and deserves a vacation".
While that is true, personally I'm happy that he takes the breaks that he does, if for no other reason than to hear those on the right whine about it. And they are such good whiners.

Yeah the pot calling the kettle black is indeed amusing!
Face it Dems. Obama is a fat cat. Ironically, he must be one of those really wealthy guys he wants to take wealth from. Maybe instead of boycotting AIG executives' homes, union thugs should boycott the Obama vacation at snooty Martha's Vineyard. Bush going home on vacation or LBJ going home on vacation, for that matter didn't cost them $50,000 a week because it was HOME. Ditto Reagan at his ranch in California. In fact, I seem to remember the Bush ranch home being described as small.
But really, this is about Louis the XVI and Marie Antoinette in the White House flaunting it when a lot of people are out of work and the economy is bad. He's the ugly baby he rails about.
The Obamas, taking a fifth vacation since July, and stopping first in Florida for a "solidarity vacation" are not meeting with workers out of work in the Gulf because of his moratorium. You remember his moratorium. That's the one that was inserted into a report AFTER the people studying the issue issued it and has since been extended. You also remember this is the "green" President who can't take a chance on deep drilling in the Gulf of Mexico but it's okay to loan $2 billion to Petrobras to do even deeper drilling off the coast of Brazil. Petrobras would be the company that George Soros quickly invested in just days before the Obama administration Petrobras announcement. Meanwhile, the rigs in the Gulf are starting to fly the coop so if and when the moratorium is actually lifted, those jobs are never coming back.
"By some estimates nearly 50,000 workers on the frontlines of the oil industry and another 150,000 in supporting positions have been thrown out of work by the Obama administration’s continual pursuit of a moratorium on offshore drilling."
"Next week, for the fifth time since July, the first family will board Air Force One for yet another luxury vacation, this time to an exclusive Martha’s Vineyard estate that rents for up to $50,000 a week. But before they head north, the Obamas will first grace Panama City, Fla., with their presence this weekend for what is being billed as a “solidarity vacation to the Gulf Coast.” Not on the agenda? Any meetings with oil workers in other Gulf states who are now unemployed thanks to President Obama’s Gulf oil drilling ban."
"Analysts said that of the thirty-three deepwater rigs in the Gulf, along with another eight under construction and committed to operate in the Gulf, at least four have already left, or are preparing to leave, the U.S. for foreign shores, pursuing contracts in emerging markets like the Egypt, the Congo, Brazil, and Greenland. Each rig, the analysts said, costs approximately $500-600 million to build, and is constructed under strict debt-financing terms that require the owners to have long-term drilling contracts secured in advance. 'If those contracts, which have been abrogated by the federal government here, are not generating revenue to pay the debt on these rigs,' said Eric Smith, a professor at the Tulane University business school, “the rigs have to leave. And when they leave…we’ll finish our moratorium and we’ll say, ‘Go back to work,’ and the oil operator is going to say, ‘With what?’ because the equipment will be gone, without any reasonable chance of getting it back anytime soon.”
"The U.S. is going to lend billions of dollars to Brazil's state-owned oil company, Petrobras, to finance exploration of the huge offshore discovery in Brazil's Tupi oil field in the Santos Basin near Rio de Janeiro. Brazil's planning minister confirmed that White House National Security Adviser James Jones met this month with Brazilian officials to talk about the loan. The U.S. Export-Import Bank tells us it has issued a "preliminary commitment" letter to Petrobras in the amount of $2 billion and has discussed with Brazil the possibility of increasing that amount.
The moratorium is the main subject of this thread, it seems to me He has already topped all the Presidents before him with his creation of unemployment in the gulf industry. I suppose he is going to have many other "green" jobs for them since he wants so badly to destroy the drilling for oil.
The "moratorium" affected less than one percent of all existing oil wells in the gulf.
If you think that the Obama administration is trying to "destroy" oil drilling, then you obviously have no clue what you are talking about.
as in he can always be reached? Yes, he is on vacation, yes, he can always be reached, It might surprise you to know many people vacation but have to be available if called upon. Maybe not you or me, but many...
vacationing at Camp David or the second home is certainly not, in anyway the same as what the Pres is doing. The Texas residence, like when Johnson was President was considered and called the Texas White house. I don't think Obama has found his second white House, lord knows it isn't in Il.
