Most, if not all, of those other things have greater ramifications for this country than a mosque near Ground Zero. And it is not Obama creating the diversion - he is reacting to the diversion generated by others.
Obama is rehearsing and setting setting the stage for his big exit. Acting like an elitist goof, indifferent to american citizens concerns, and then resign in disgrace just when things completely fall apart. He'll be the fall guy and take the blame for what both parties and their mutual masters have caused to happen and we'll be distracted fighting over whether he was persecuted and never given a fair chance, or he was actively trying to ruin the country.
So, is the Mosque outraged a diversion capitalized upon by Obama to direct our attention away from something else?
What say you?
.... I thought you all took it as a given that Obama controls television programming. All except for that one plucky little ragtag band of rebels, that is.... the ones who contributed $1M to the Repug Governors Assn.
Funny that you all take it as a given that you're helpless victims of The Media.
I don't really feel it is a diversion by Obama, he is all about PR and I think he felt it would be politically in his best interest to comment on it.
But I do find it comical that a man who made fun of people who, "Cling to their guns and religion" is the one who is lecturing us on freedom of religion. Which is it Mr. Obama? Ya can't have it both ways. Or maybe in this case he can.

Could you quote that "guns and religion" paragraph from that speech, please? Just so we can all see that line in context.
Media is a propaganda tool.
The media decides what's important and barrages the readers/watchers with that same theme over and over.
Well, not the media itself, but those who influence the media..corporations and government.
And the majority of people fall for it.
This mosque in NYC isn't really a big deal but the media has convinced the American people it is.
Every move or comment on it by anyone in position is plastered in the news.

Exactly. It's not as though this mosque plan suddenly appeared out of nowhere in May. It's just that the day after the residential community board approved the mosque, the New York Post, which is the city's version of the Enquirer, put out this dramatic story about a "monster" mosque "at ground zero" that was going to open on "9/11/11". It hit the Internet and that was it. Misinformation and outright lies fed fear.

Um, do you not know how to do a search? It's pretty easy. If you want to quote one of Obama's speeches please feel free.
