But I just think that the Democrats and the Republicans are too busy fighting over issues that will eventually lead the once great USA further in the hole, if both parties don't tackle this economy problem head on.

In my humble opinion, the Democratic party has failed African Americans over and over, and yet many of my fellow people think that the Democratic Party has our best interest. All I have seen is the same old same old bull jive from them. Personal responsibility seems to be only for those who happen to be white, priviledged, and rich. If you are black and poor, we get a pass for dropping out of school, having kids that we can't afford to raise, and be allowed to use the race card when it benefits us as a race.

Democrats keep making promises that they can't keep, and when a racial matter occurs, then we see the Jesse Jacksons, Al Sharptons, and Maxine Waters coming out of their caves to fight for the racial injustices that seem to only benefit them rather than the so called black victims of those crimes.

Republicans will fight to defend the constitution, family values, religious freedom, support the military at any cost, and blame the Democrats for big government and huge deficits. But, on that same note they are not too concerned about having huge deficits to fund our military, and justify it by saying how the government's role is strictly to have a strong military to protect our borders according to the Constitution. They seem not so willing to support our country's future by having the same spending philosophy for educating our citizens because that would make government too big.

I see both parties pretty much the same now. Basically each party has spent us into an inevitable economic collapse, both parties won't accept responsibility for getting us in this huge deficit, but the finger pointing keeps going on, and the back and forth blame game is all that each party has been able to show the average American voter, who simply want to support his or her family, and be able to retire with dignity.
so are you a certified Teabagger? because that's all I've been hearing from the so-called 'was a dem" types....I mean if you can"t think on your own, that IS your problem dude, but I choose whoever the hell I want when election time comes and I'm in my late 20s...so if you choose to vote republican, then do so...I choose republican for local races and democrat for national races, only becuase nationally there are more democratic responsibilities than locally.

the typical voter is an idiot who doesnt know the issues, picks his or her team(republican or democrat) checks off all the r's or d's they can, gets an i voted sticker from the rep and has the nerve to flaunt that they actually did something worthwhile, that i did my civic duty and voted. that i know what's going on. they sure where that i voted sticker with pride, ignorant pride, but pride nonetheless.

you know, its funny how i hear about all of this anti incumbent sentinment, but where is it in these primary results? over 90 percent of the incumbents are winning, and over 85 percent will be re-elected. where is the furor. where is the angered public wanting changes? i guess they forgot about that with the nfl coming back and some dumb talent show to watch now.

ill say it one more time, the average american voter is an idiot, a dangerous idiot, who does not care to find out about the people they are electing.

we deserve what we get in the end i suppose.

and im not saying im holier than thou, i did the same thing in 08 that i rally against now. i am older now and have spent more time trying to understand my mindset when i did what i did, and have learned from my mistakes.

i just have no faith in the american public anymore. too dumbed down, dont care to learn about the issues or are too stupid to comprehend the issues.

i ask someone what they think of predator drones, he tells me there were no drones in the movie predator. (palm to face)
you could not have said it better, bro...I love an "out-of-the-box" thinker who thinks more than most voters who choose to follow the incumbents and the pundits on their views and then vote.......these pundits get paid to skew the votes, and yet these morons keep on at it. the primaries are tricky becuase you don't get to vote for who you want to when you get to the office, but I won't vote democratic when it comes to local no more, I want to see how it goes with reps being local these days. I've listened to countless campaigns, but when it comes to the primaries your pretty much banged because you're damn near limited

If it isn't healthcare, it's defense spending.

I still consider myself to be a moderate liberal but I am not an African American so I can't relate to your experience. I have no problem voting for who I feel is the best person for the job so in that sense, I'm not blindly loyal to Democrats. Why should I be? They aren't loyal to me. I voted for Obama in '08 and if I wasn't satisfied with the job he was doing or if I feel there's a better person for the job in '12, I have no problem voting against him.
I will vote for who I like, and being that I'm not either black or white, I will vote for whoever makes me believe in them......so far Obama's been doing a bang up job, I still have my job, but that's because I know how to keep a job, my taxes are fine, but I also am financially savvy... so what does that mean? It means that you don"t have to vote to keep yourself afloat, you dumbarse.....you're either financially fit or your not when your'e around the middle class region. I found out my credit score was"prime plus" or whatever that means, but my score is up there. Yet another scheme to keep middle class people trying to keep u with the billionaires, and you fall for it all the damn time. I'm getting overwhelmed by all the vampires asking for my blood if I sign my life over to AMEX or Chanse or Citigroup.....a bunch of banks that have ****ed up during the decades of me reading about them.

Your damn vote doesn't matter anymore, unless you're in their pocket, meaning you make them millions....WE are the Paupers that were talked about in many fables to us(for those who are white in your own tales, for those who are not in fables told by Showtime)....

let's face it, and get together and try to defeat the elites, and then we can be the elites....let rome burn as we plunder through their white-pillared castles...they deserve that much for lying to us as a Nation, not just as republicans or Democrats...

I wouldn't put myself in the tea party category, because I am not about taking back my country when this country wasn't mine in the first place or my people's. So I don't really think that black Americans can totally identify with the tea party.

But what we all can identify with is having honest God fearing representatives who truly represent the people regardless of any political party's agenda.

I still haven't seen someone who will fight to keep my taxes low, and not waste my tax dollars on things that will keep some people dependent on government programs. I haven't seen someone who will be totally non-partisan when it comes to the future of the USA. I haven't seen someone who will stick to the principles our founding fathers held, and DEMAND that we be fiscally conservative across the board, instead of when it suits their politically party's agenda.

IF you vote for Democrats in general elections, then that says to me you are all about not wanting a balance of power, but you WANT OUR COUNTRY TO BE SOCIALIST RUN. When those darn Socialists have taken all of your money and distributed it to the less fortunate ones, who never really worked hard for anything, and tell you how you must pay more taxes to keep the less fortunate ones in their free housing to support their litter of children that they can't afford to keep having; when they start taxing you at about 85% of your income just to keep all of these government run programs going, then talk to me then.

when you take away the entitlement card, when you take away the race card. what is left?
surely there is good- surely there is beauty- when the anger and hate subside.
my favorite words from 'take back our freedom" rally at dunham high school
young black men, pull up your pants and put down your gun.

You make a valid point about white privilege in the USA, and the sad thing about it, many white RACIST people don't even realize how privileged they are.

I think you watch too much news. You sound like FOX/MSNBC/CNN/C-SPAN/etc. You need to stop watching the news and pick up a book. Nothing thats happening now is new. Only people who don't know history are upset with the present. I think Rachael Maddow and Glenn Beck are on TV right now....better tune in and get even more confused.....hurry!

What books are those that I should be reading? Half of the books published are written to further confuse people who can't think for themselves, and to support whom ever party's ideology for running this country.

All of this mess that the USA is facing and the world is facing has already been prophesied by one book that I do read--the Bible. The USA is on a decline, and this time, nothing will stop our nation from going into the toilet as long as we have people like yourself thinking that people who see the light are confused simply because they don't read your prescribed books to educate them. I hope you are not in some rural isolated place where you don't interact with others but with people like yourself who can't see the forest for the trees. Hummmmm?
