Oh, I am not surprised. John kerry would support the mass killing of Jews in Israel, if it meant Iran would be left alone and allowed to have Nuclear Weapons.

John Kerry would approve of shutting down every radio, news station, and newspaper that doesn't share HIS point of view.

John Kerry is a true liberal, who believes freedom is living in Cuba under a dictator and freedom of speech means "liberal speech only". He is a hypocrite and that is why he lost bad in 2004.

There are a lot of threads debating media slant. What I find difficult is how we define that slant. If a media outlet mentions a gay day parade, does that make them liberal? Would a conservative-leaning media simply not report the massive parade that upset traffic downtown for hours this afternoon?

If you hear a point of view that differs from your own or facts that suggest actions were taken that you oppose, does that then mean the media is biased? I'm trying to understand what most of you are saying when you declare very confidently that so-and-so is liberal or conservative. I would agree with most that Fox is embarrassingly pro-Bush and therefore 'conservative'. Yet, as someone else already pointed out, Fox programs are the most liberal-leaning out there with T&A and other moral horrors openly displayed during 'family' hours.

I also second the poster who said that corporate control of the media is everywhere. Whether it's right or left-leaning is not important. It is designed to divide us so we end up in threads like this ready to shoot each other.

That appears to be so at least on Cable News and radio. Liberal opponents of truth still control the newspapers.

So, you support the idea that the majority determines the truth? Oh, wait, you appended your comment to say that liberals don't tell the truth. Thanks for lying to us.

Te Daily Show, which despite it being comedy, is far more informative than any of the propaganda machines (CNN/FOX/etc).

Media Matters - O'Reilly again attacked Daily Show viewers as being "stoned" "dopey college kids"
Media Matters - O'Reilly: Young Americans "have no idea what's going on" because they "get their news from Jon Stewart"
Jon Stewart's Gandhian Struggle

O'Reilly calls John Stewart "far left". That's laughable. O'Reilly is just bitter. He may have more viewers, but his viewers aren't as intelligent. I could list more sources, but I think you get the point. O'Reilly viewers are mindless sheep.

See the hard left wing liberals want to revive the "fairness doctrine" because for over 50 years, liberal TV CONTROLLED AMERICA and they no longer do. So now they want to shut down all media they disagree with!! Now, liberals who controlled Congress in the 1960s and 1970s would NEVER want the "fairness doctrine" to exist, since back then liberals dominated the media and there were ZERO conservative outlets in the media. Back then, there was NO fairness, but liberals would never wnat a "fairness doctrine" because their point of view was heard and conservatives were not. Was that fair?

So they want to shut down all conservative voices, specially Fox and talk radio because they no longer have a grip on the American media (they do, they still control the vast majority of newspapers and TV stations, not to mention colleges and universities) but what liberals wnat is to be back in the 1960s and 1970s where the only voice heard was liberal voices.

Isn't it amazing how liberals always come up with deceiving names like "Fairness Doctrine" (which sounds good) when what they really mean is "Media Censorship of Conservatives"?

Man, these guys are great at spinning the truth!!! They come up with deceiving names (ie. SP, liberal, "pro-choice", fairness....) that all sound great, but what they really mean is something completely different.

Do I need to create a liberal dictionary here so people can really understand what "liberal-talk" really means??

O"Reilly is correct.

It's humorous to me that people on the left have such keen insight on who is "far right" but they have a log in their eyes when it comes to seeing that they are indeed far left!

Also, I wish I could have a quarter for every time someone on the left has stated that FOX viewers are "less intelligent and mindless " than viewers of their left-wing propaganda machines!

It is MY opinion that the "far left" is more into marijuana than the right. The reason, as least in my view, is because every left wing blog I read, I always read how they are defending the right of marijuana, drugs, etc. For example, ,the recent Bong hits 4 Jesus chatter on the left wing blogs (yes I read them even though I hate them--especially daily kos). You just never see this on the right. Of course, I could be wrong, but my own views and experiences in colleges and hanging around with liberal friends tends to show this. You just don't find this in the conservative leaning crowd.

As far as Jon Stewart ---well, he takes a piece of video and skews it his own way like all other comedy shows do. It's in the same vein as the SNL news updates.

Nice twist. The majority of people listen to stations that THEY HAVE DECIDED speaks more to the truth.
