I think Obama is kind of cool and energizing. All of the conservative selections have 1 foot in the grave already. We'll see, still early.

Do I like anything socialist.Yes, I love the military. Isn't that an irony Tominole. I'd say more for you than for me though.I believe we need fireman, volunteer fire departments are best though. Police are sorta like the civilian military, I am o.k. with that. Beyond these things yes, we are rapidly exhausing my tolerance for socialism. I doubt your gonna trap ole Kaintuck Tommygirl. What I have against Hillary:
-Totally flip floppin disengenuous.
-Panders to the left on all their hot button issues, socialized medicine, abortion, anti-military.
-Never would have been a senator without hubby and New York liberals to back her and has no single accomplishment to qualify her other than being a senator, which doesn't say much for any of them esp. her. I asked you to name one ,-you didn't?
-Is the most opaque panderer of both sides of the aisle. Take a poll and that is what she is for. Now she did learn that one well in eight years.
-Yes, she does screech. She has one of the most offensive tones in presenting a speech of any politician I have ever heard. Well except when she is presenting her disengenuous southern draaawl. Ross Perot comes close. Only he is more of a nasally whaaaa. Hillary is more of a china breaking eaeaeaeaeaeeaeaeaerrrrreaeaeaech. And yes, she did buy the china and then took it with her. Small consolation if she brings the china back!

Well, Kaintuck, first things first - It is "Toni nole" so I'm more of a Toni girl than a TOmmy girl.

How is it more ironic for me than for you that you support socialism in one hand, but not the other? I believe, probably like you, that there are instances where it is necessary in order to help everyone.

1) What has she flip flopped on? Seriously, I keep hearing this from some of the conservatives on this forum, but I've yet to hear examples.
2) If she is "pandering" then doesn't every politician do it? I don't see her hawking any more on issues that are a concern to her constituency than any other candidate - do you?
3) I don't think you can say she never would have been a Senator if it hadn't been for her husband, but maybe you are right about New York. If she hadn't met Bill then she might have run in CT or IL.
4) I think you must mean "transparent" not opaque, but I'm still curious as to what you define as "pandering". I really don't know what examples you have in your head, but I'd love to hear them.
5) If in fact you are correct about her tone then I guess I'm just not hearing it. I wonder if the majority of Americans will think an intelligent and INTELLIGABLE woman's voice is better than the smirking chimp who can't get a sentence out without stumbling. If you want to go hit for hit on snide things I think I have more of an arsenal.

As for her record in Congress -
*She worked in 2001 to secure funds for the 9/11 victims' families and fought for funds for small businesses that were failing due to the tragedy
*She fought for health care for those workers on the front line at ground zero
*She is the first New Yorker to serve on the Senate Armed Serv Comm. and I thank her for her efforts to increase my husband's pay that .5% that the Republicans fought!!!!!!
*She passed legislation to track the health status of our veterans to make sure that if conditions like Gulf War Syndrome pops up it can be correctly diagnosed.
*She originally sponsored the legislation that expanded health care benefits to members of the NATIONAL GUARD and RESERVES.
*She introduced legislation that would tie congressional salary increases to increases in the minimum wage
*She supports reducing the AMT and other middle class tax cuts

How much do you actually need?
