When is it that you plan to drag Bush, kicking and screaming, into The Hague for his trial? Come on, you know that with two years to get that done in the Dem Congress surely would have done it if they thought they could accomplish anything other than embarrassing themselves.

Default The obligatory Republican response is no longer necessary

One very pathetic aspect of any presidential address is the obligatory response by the other major party. During this great president's time, the Republicans are given a chance to respond. I frankly don't bother to even listen to these childlike commentaries. I can't remember the last time a Republican knew what they were talking about or were correct. Pubs have been wrong for decades. Their judgment and instincts stink across the board. So the obligatory response should be temporarily suspended until this country can find a more suitable alternative political party. Pubs have shown themselves to no longer be worthy of being relevant in the political dialogue or process.

Great speech though. Every human being in this country should've liked that speech. There was nothing to be negative about, which further shows that Republican criticism is done simply as a matter of course. Pretty pathetic their place now as political waste.

Bush's nonsense Iraq war has ended thanks to this president.

NRO has a great opinion piece here.

Iraq Through the Looking Glass

The following list has pretty much been forgotten...

  • All 23 of the writs for war passed by the Congress in 2002 — from enforcing the Gulf I resolutions and stopping the destruction of the Kurds and Marsh Arabs, to preventing the Iraqi state promotion of terrorism, ending suicide bounties on the West Bank, and stopping Iraq from invading or attacking neighbors or trying to acquire WMD — were met and satisfied by the U.S. military.
  • Libya gave up its WMD program;
  • Dr. Khan’s nuclear franchise was shut down;
  • Syria left Lebanon;
  • American troops in Saudi Arabia, put there as protection against Saddam, were withdrawn....
  • the destruction of al-Qaeda in Iraq helped to discredit the entire idea of radical Sunni Islamic terrorists,
  • the loss of thousands of foreign radical Islamists in Iraq had a positive effect on U.S. security — despite the fallacy that we created them out of thin air by being in Iraq.
  • Kurdistan was, prior to 2003, faced with the continual threat of genocidal attacks by Saddam Hussein; today it is a booming economy.
All that would have been impossible without U.S. intervention.

President Obama: "These are the rough waters encountered during the course of one of America’s longest wars. Yet there has been one constant amidst these shifting tides. At every turn, America’s men and women in uniform have served with courage and resolve. As Commander-in-Chief, I am incredibly proud of their service. And like all Americans, I’m awed by their sacrifice, and by the sacrifices of their families."

I do not have to keep my mouth shut
it is still a free country and I can say what I dang well please
if you fall for Obama's little speech, then that is on you, he is as shallow as they come
his words are cheap, but his actions have spoken volumes~~

Absolutely. If you lose your job, why is that my problem? If you can't provide child care for the kids you CHOOSE to have, why is that my problem?

A handout to help out is one thing. However, MANY people on unemployment right now don't even look for a job. Why should they? The minute it runs out, you tree hugging liberals and socialist Obummer, will raise my taxes, and continue the benefits. It's already happened twice and will happen again.

Now, answer the simple question: Why should I pay for your unemployment?

And NO, even if I lost my job I wouldn't take unemployment or any other free, lay on your butt, lazy inducing, government program. I'd work; 3 jobs if I had too, but I'd work.

Repug "Logic"

Just read the bumper stickers for your opinion of Obama....so much easier than listening for a few minutes and thinking!

BTW, it's interesting to note that ending the major slaughter of troops in Iraq isn't worthy of your attention....
Has that damned MSM failed me again? Have there really been a lot of Americans slaughtered in Iraq since Obama took over? Why don't you haul out your numbers of just how many since January 20, 2009? Don't be too surprised when you find out that the major slaughter, as you call it, has been in Afghanistan. You are just trying too hard and falling back farther into the crap.

When we are forced to go back in will you be grinning and laughing. I hope you don't get proven wrong but I do think you will be.

Aw, come on. All the wild eyed libs here know that none of those things happened because we were in Iraq. Besides that they know that Obama could have taken care of it all if Hussein had started shooting his disallowed rockets at Israel.

No, no, no Obama promised to get combat troops out of Iraq by yesterday so he pulled them a few days earlier. When will you be telling me how many of our troops were killed since 2009 in Iraq?

If Mickey Mouse or Pluto had been sitting in the Oval Office yesterday you would not have wanted to accept them as the enders of that war. Merely being there when the troops came out although the generals on the ground said it wasn't time doesn't make the war over.
