Teddy actually walked away, went to his hotel room, tried to get to sleep, called the desk complaining about a loud party keeping him awake, finally slept soundly until the following morning. Awoke and engaged in casual conversations until his friends (who knew about the accident and had thought Ted was going to call the authorities) had a heated conversation on the matter.

Ted was still calling friends and asking for advice when local fisherman found the car and called the police.

Later that evening Kennedy threw on a neck brace and explained the death of Mary Jo Kopechne as being an "awful curse that actually did hang all over the Kennedy's."

Ted Kennedy; the liberal icon.

"If she had lived, Mary Jo Kopechne would be 62 years old. Through his tireless work as a legislator, Edward Kennedy would have brought comfort to her in her old age," -- Boston Globe spin Jan 2003

And through his tireless work as a memorabilia collector, OJ would have given his Heisman to Nicole Brown for her mantle.

Ted Kennedy was a dispicable and weak coward. That that so many in the state of Massachusetts still held him up as in icon and continued to elect him shows either the low standards of the electorate or a brainwashing on the order of Jim Jones.

There had to be something in the kool-aide they were serving at the polls.

It is curious. you have some young relatively decent looking wealthy guys that bang every woman that says yes.... and for this they get crucified... like the other men are any different or would be if given the same circumstances.

If we want to take a stand against cheaters then 22% or so of men and 14% of women would be on the evil doers list. ouch...
I guess you don't think the victim of that "accident" was Mary Jo but was Ted. She was just a wee bit pregnant and I say she had to die because one of the playboys in that group didn't want to pay for an illegal abortion so they took the easy way out. I wonder if the evil doer was Bobby or Jack.

You guys are waaaay too hard on Teddy. He lived life with the terrible burden of being the only one of Joe's sons not worthy being assasinated (or killed in action while serving his country in war). In later years he worked as hard as he could to become just so worthy.

The first thing, Teddy did for his country, was on August 25 2009.

Many of his supportes always claimed he was a victim along with mary jo.

One died and one lived a drunken life full of power with no repercussions for the death he caused and they claim he was a victim

Ted Kennedy is the poster child for the power of money to cloud men's minds, men's judgment, and men's moral code.
