With Murkowski now out of the picture the tea party people are turning their attention to Mike Castle in Delaware. Castle is the Republican Congressman from Delaware and is seeking Biden's old Senate seat. Castle has the most liberal voting record of any Republican currently in the House. Christine O'Donnell is a PR Consultant ad ran for the Senate in 08 (losing 65-35) is attacking Castle for being too liberal. Well now a group that says they are affiliated with the tea party Liberty.com put out an online ad in support of O'Donnell and slamming Castle. They finish the ad trying to make a suggestion that Mike Castle is cheating on his wife with another man....

"... an extraordinary — and unsupported — charge of a gay affair against Castle in a video posted to its website today, the ugliest salvo yet in an extremely bitter primary."

Quote:

We asked the question, we didn't specifically say it," he said of the gay affair charge, which he said was "common knowledge" in Delaware. "We thought we'd throw it out there."

Walker said he had no compunction about repeating the rumor about Castle because "he's a threat to American sovereignty."

If the guy is as liberal as they say is why don't they attack the guy's record? It's also interesting to see what other tactics the Tea Party will resort to with each other and then Democrats as the election season progresses. I thought the Tea Party was against politics as usual.

If he had a record of voting against gay rights 100% of the time, I might believe that he is gay. Since his record is mixed I do not believe the accusations.

There's a poll, in another thread asking if homosexuality is evil..., my reply being, It's only evil when used for political gain. Apply where necessary.

On the other hand, maybe the accused is going for the RhINO vote.

Well true, but in this case not exactly any evidence this is going on. This is more along the lines of right wingers making up stuff about their more moderate opponents.
