I think it's worse than it being the latest liberal fad. I think that the pro-Islam crowd hates Christianity and Judaism that much that they believe the enemy of their enemy is their friend.

They are willing to overlook anything and everything when it comes to Muslims because they figure the Muslims will take down Israel, kill all Jews, and smash Christianity and then everything will be bliss.

Course we can pick apart why they hate us and the Jews.

1. Liberals are obsessed with protecting the minority, even though they could do fine on their own, but they insist that "no you're black or brown you need the government hand". So they see the Palestinians as just another oppressed minority that needs "help" and the evil Jews are killing them.

2. Liberals associate Christianity with the Joe the Plumber and folksy crowd that live in small towns, own guns, and have never left their state in their lives. In other words since liberals all want to be seen as "worldly" and intellectual, it's embarrassing to be a Christian so they either reject it and hate it or they claim to be Christians but of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright or Jesse Jackson fold because they don't want to be seen as pushy or bigoted. In other words, they feel the need to apologize and make excuses (I was one of those people before) because they want to show their agnostic and atheist cohorts that they are "cool and worldly" enough to be hip and liberal just like them
