Because history shows that they DO cause problems. Islam and democratic societies are incompatible.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying "All Muslims are bad" or "We should get rid of all the mosques in the US and expel all the Muslims" or any of that crazy stuff I hear on the radio.

I just think we should look at an increasing Muslim population realistically. If their population here in the US continues to grow and the radicals start organzing, I think we could be in for some serious trouble.

Sorry but I'm a realist. Politics is a part of the world we live in. We declare ourselves to be a country of religious freedom. Legally, they have the right to build a mosque there. That's America. You don't have to like it but you have to respect their right to build a mosque there. The Muslim world is paying attention and seeing if we are a bunch of hypocrites. It has nothing to do with threatening violence or terrorism if we don't do what they say. That's just the wing nuts exploiting this to suit their agenda of generating anti-Islamic feelings. Sorry but those of us with a brain and can think for ourselves will not allow ourselves to be manipulated. I'm a Conservative but I'm not a member of the Christian Taliban. And yes, the Islamic community needs to do a better job of calling out violent fundamentalists in their community. However, there are idiots on both sides of the spectrum. You are seeing one side in the responses above.
There is no such thing as the Christian Taliban. No one is saying that they do not have the right to bulid mosques and you know it. They are saying that it is wrong to build one RIGHT THERE! Not that they CAN'T build it.

Remember this?
"We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show," the posting reads. "This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them."
The fact that we have these violent American-hating foreigners in our country, threatening us and telling us to censor our own harmless cartoons otherwise we'll end up dead, is something any reasonable person who values our American rights to freedom of expression should be greatly concerned about Islam creeping into our nation.

Instead we are practicing the ultimate PC-ness and giving up our rights to express for fear of offending them to the point of violence.

Untitled Document

various quotes found on the link above.

Lying in Islam

By Abdullah Al Araby

"""In the sphere of international politics, the question is: Can Muslim countries be trusted to keep their end of the agreements that they sign with non-Muslim nations? It is a known Islamic practice, that when Muslims are weak they can agree with most anything. Once they become strong, then they negate what they formerly vowed. """

Some fun!

"""
An example of Islamic deception is that Muslim activists always quote the passages of the Quran from the early part of Mohammed's ministry while living in Mecca. These texts are peaceful and exemplify tolerance towards those that are not followers of Islam. All the while, they are fully aware that most of these passages were abrogated (cancelled and replaced) by passages that came after he migrated to Medina. The replacement verses reflect prejudice, intolerance, and endorse violence upon unbelievers """

The Why.......

"""In conclusion, it is imperative to understand, that Muslim leaders can use this loop-hole in their religion, to absolve them from any permanent commitment. It is also important to know that what Muslim activists say to spread Islam may not always be the whole truth. When dealing with Muslims, what they say is not the issue. The real issue is, what they actually mean in their hearts. """
