What would happen if someone in another part of the world or..
Even inside America made threats to burn bibles?
Would the president speak out?Would there be fear of attacks?

I don't think it's right to burn any groups holy books. I may be a religion-disliking Atheist...but there is a line I don't cross due to respect.

Personally, I would feel bad that there were more stupid people walking around. Then I would forget about it.

I am offended at the thought of burning any book, "holy" or not. Books are gateways to knowledge.

I would rather burn a million flags than 1 book.

There would be no reaction. Muslims burn US flags all the time and no one does anything. The flag is as sacred to many Americans as the Bible is to Christians. Anyway, teh whole book bruning thing is of fit seems.Fla. imam: No deal to move NYC mosque - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100909/ap_on_re_us/quran_burning - broken link)

Bibles are burned everyday in some part of the world. Communist countries wouldn't even let a bible be brought in. That is why bibles were smuggled into some countries. This has been going on for centuries. I don't think much would be made of burning a bible in America. Christians are use to it.

Very true. Books represent knowledge and experience and thought. Not all of them but just to write one you have to have some semblence of that. Those who burn them are basically trying to deny the importance of knowledge and intelligence.

There was a town in the midwest during McCarthy's era that took all the books out of the library with red covers and burned them. Didn't even look at what they were about. This says it all I think.

Christians don't attack those who burn Bibles. But the thugish muslims do attack if their book is burned. Come to think of it, they attack, if you are American, Jewish, Christian,female.........
