Bob: A woman's body is her property and she has a right to exert control over it at all times. It doesn't matter what other people think about responsibility since they do not have a stake in the matter.

If we were to place the debate on a Likert scale in order to visualize the spread of moral opinions, then what other formulation would you assign to zero other than Humanae Vitae when the upper limit would be, let's say any abortion prior to actual birth? Complete abstinence? Perhaps. But by place abstinence as the zero place holder it doesn't allow us to examine the moral valuation across the spectrum since under abstinence (which in this case would also preclude masturbation) the argument is rather moot.
