Sears department store is reportedly under fire for selling T-shirts depicting images of the Twin Towers with the word "Gotcha" emblazoned on the front of the clothing.
Sears, once the biggest retailer in the U.S., pulled the Sept. 11-related shirts from shelves in Kansas City, Mo., following complaints that the clothing was disturbing, fox4kc.com reports.
Who the hell designed that shirt? The buyer and the designer need to be shipped to a muslim country wearing T-Shirts with muhammad on it and see how they fair.
I remember when Sears-Roebuck was an American company.
I would like to know who the store buyer is who made the decision to stock these teeshirts. Unbelievable, really.
And I remember when the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere (and previously the world) was called the Sears Tower. I still call it that but only because of hometown pride. Most of us still call it the Sears Tower. It will take many decades for that to wear away.
If Gotcha company was intending to pay a tribute with these shirts, they should have had the premonitory consumer sense to know the offense and confusion this could cause. They should have just removed their logo from the shirts and just had it on the tag. Strange decision making on the part of Gotcha.
This sounds too far out to be something other than a mistake.
