The OP's title cracked me up so much, I can't wait to see Maher's video...(I am church-going btw, he still makes me think while I am laughing, and I am not offended by someone who questions my beliefs when I am in the mood for that kind of dialog, especially when I am ROFLMAO)
Do you not watch Bill Maher? He always talks like that. lol

Where are the liberals when you need them to censor hate speech? Oh, I forgot. He's being hateful towards conservatives and Republicans. It's ok to hate on them
take it back to people we like being in charge, of course
Yes, I know. but the ideal all-white closet case Religious Right-type RW world is abhorrent to me and people who think like me. I guess never the twain shall meet.
Wasn't Ronald Reagan an actor for many years before he became The President. Comedian or not Bill Maher makes good commentary and his truth is interesting especially when it comes to religion.

Maher has an audience, not a following.
Maher's fans do not hang on his every word, they realize he is an entertainer, not an expert.
At least Bill isn't hating on hapless minority groups like the gays or the Hispanics.

Many thinking people share his hatred, myself included. Good thing he is a funny guy or I'd walk around angry all day like a conservative.
Interesting. I was not aware of the phrase/effort back in 2006 - 2007, perhaps because jingoism does not appeal to me.
i don't see the connection between appeal and awareness.
does being aware of it now make you a jingoist?
