Every first lady has been/is criticized for her clothes, with the exception of Laura Bush. Most political women in general are criticized for their clothes-too expensive, too cheap, too dressy, too casual, blah, blah, blah! Damned if they do and damned if they don't. Michelle ought to ask Laura how she did it.
Seriously. I've never watch them and don't intend to start now. Why set yourself up? Everyone knows they tell half-truths so why put yourself in a position to have to figure out or wonder what is real and what isn't?
The answer is that people like the entertainment and enjoy it when others bash people they don't like. The truth doesn't matter.
Ceece, that comment was towards DewDropInn, not sure why you responded, I know YOU don't watch or listen to those morons

I'm sorry but Laura Bush always looked as if she shopped off of the clearance racks at WalMart/Kmart.
$200 is dirt cheap these days. On the campaign trail some of the ladies were criticized for wearing blouses that cost $5,000.
Exactly, Sarah Palin and her family went on a $250,000 shopping spree for her family during the 2008 presidential campaign. Of course when it become public she ended up giving the clothes away. It was worth it for her. No other politician has cashed in their public image in recent history like she has. I don't like her at all but I believe in giving credit where credit is due. She is a marketing genius.
I wouldn't make this post at all, except that Michelle and Barack have made a lot of noise about the greed of bankers, business owners, etc. Many of those they criticize probably never bought a $200 shirt. Then Michelle shows up in one to paint a building. Am I alone in thinking this smacks of hypocrisy?
If someone wants a $200 shirt, I would usually say it's his own business. But again, when she and OB charge others with greed, what kind of message is this?
I'd wear something cheap. It's her shirt, her money, why not if that what she wants.
Anybody ever thought about the fact that a $200 shirt doesn't always mean the person paid $200 for it?????
